I fucking hate this part of him
he has half of his thing of beers like every 3 weeks or something, then just gulps down 3 and magically a giant asswipe appears in my living room
He's said a lot of things while drunk, most of which are true
"Damn it why can't you pay attention to your work like you do to your games" (ADHD, depression, dysthymia, and like 6 more or something, they make me bad at most things I do that require constant attention. Wait I just realized that's why I suck at CS i can't focus on that all the time)
"The reason you are getting bad grades is because you were so damn smart that you could pass your classes as a little kid with no effort, and you learned to be lazy. The only reason you're still passing any of your classes is because of your test scores" (also true, I can't turn in homework on time, but I get all of the top scores in my school for math and science)
and the worst one
"I'm sick of having to do everything around here. It's like having 3 kids" (my mom has HUGE sleeping problems and memory issues, which make her really easy to trick and me and my sister do that a lot, our psychologist said that is imprinted as a habit)

talk to your dad about it when he sobers up if you have the kind of relationship with him that you can do that.
tell him that if he wants to talk to you about important things then you would appreciate if he did it sober.

We're not really in a good spot atm, he's angry about my grades
Also he doesn't call me over to talk, he just kinda says them as I'm passing by doing chores. I sometimes stop to listen after I'm out of sight, though.

check it out vooby boy, i was just standing on the sidewalk smoking a cig by myself like the sad lonely fuck that i am, and as one of the passing cars went by this cute grill in the passenger seat just stares at me and smiles, so of course i just smile back like a goddamn fool, and then she starts laughing, which makes me start laughing, and for like three seconds we were just two random people making each other feel good without any agendas or words or anything, and then she was gone
doesnt really have shit to do with what you're dealing with tbh, people are all so fucking weak and im sorry your dad's weakness manifests in such an external way, but like just keep your eyes open and you'll see that there's a lot of light and beauty and strength out there too

Listen, my dad was a drunk too..and its terrible. But eventually he got clean and we have a good relationship now and bond over common interests.
But it took him getting clean for that to happen.
I hope your dad does the same bc it's not fair to you or your mom that he does that. really sorry to hear this bc I've been there. I wish you guys the best.

Drunks suck. I am an awful (recovering) drunk. I'm sorry about your mom. Hearing that from a drunk dad would be rough. I'm not sorry that you enjoy games and there's nothing wrong with being smart and lazy. Keep enjoying games, you'll learn to deal with the laziness.

Your dad probably frustrated just frustrated i don't think he's an asshole aside from his drinking issues and i think he cares about you guys his stress is just building up
Not trying to antagonize you since i also have an alcoholic father who actually was a retard a few years back when drunk until we stopped caring ..yes our relationship is in shambles for sure we barely talk and we live in the same house .. well we talk about random stuff but personal stuff never
nowadays though when he drinks he doesn't go retard and mean. Well even if he did we lost care at this point and learned to deal with him or ignore him.
Rough situation but i hope it gets better i'm sure it will.
