Our attorneys bill out at $215 or $295, depending. That is literally the only way we make money, so it has to cover everything, from rent, malpractice and health insurance. And I take home a fraction of that amount, of course. I don't bill out a lot, because my job is to clear out attorney time so they can bill out for all their time in the office. | ||

A big firm like Ropes and Gray pull bills out at like $300-$450 an hour and there is literally no paralegal time. But they lock their junior attorneys in basements for 5 years doing legal research and writing briefs. | ||
