Yeah, but that is totally their no-zone and most won't let you near it. Unless you're giving them a bath, which then they are the saddest animals in the world because their quills are wet and they know it.
Mine bit me once while washing him and I barely felt it. Afterwords he just looked to dejected and upset at how powerless he was.

BB is almost as good as Rammus, but doesn't have the ability to roll into a ball and go super fast. But he does make up for it with that hobo skin.
Edit: Hedgies are like grubby teenage boys. Normally tunneling will keep them clean, but since they don't do that in cages, you need to wash them.
