On the subject of pets in my house we've currently got two dogs and two rabbits (one of the dogs and both rabbits we only got last year). We had a dog when I was younger too, when he died we didn't have pets for several years until we got the older of our two current dogs. And we've had a ton of goldfish, but we've not had fish in years.

Like 4 years or so. They are rodents, so life span isn't their thing. They are nocturnal, so you can't keep them in your room unless you want to hear them running on their wheel all night. Also they are blind as fuck, so noises scare the shit out of them.

Our family dog, former spanish street dog. She went to live with my sister though when we both moved on our own, occasionally at my or mothers place too.
She was so bm when we first got her, used to drink people's coffees if left unattended and broke one coffee machine even.

Yeah, we had to put one of dachshunds down because she broke her back. It was a huge bummer. The other ones just died of old age like all dogs should.
