Everything in the game has been normalized - carrys don't carry as hard, everyone gets more gold, or at least has a lesser difference in gold (contributing to the first point). Things like aura strats have been killed off, with many heroes auras changed in a way that makes them less viable for team stacking/pushing - things Necrobook being gone and Helm of Dom not being a carry item for how many years also adds to this. Supports getting more gold simply by existing makes Mid and Carry and roaming ranks less impactful. ... A couple of months later HoD is mainstream. You could even call it the item of TI14 xD Back in DotA one reason for its carry pick was also the option to make it into Satanic. ----- This TI is a bit of a blast from the past: - Na`Vi qualified to TI - Chinese teams are back at the top - HoD is back ----- My two cents, the old TL logo looked better xD ----- Just discovered this forum and it's nice to see DotA players and old guys still around. My friends who I grew up with gave up video games altogether. It would be great to connect with some of you and I would appreciate if anyone could send me an invite to BluemoonSC's discord channel.

I dont remember LoL being as popular anymore too at this point The rise of gacha and mobile gameplay basically had the population just transition playing those games instead of competitive multiplayer games more. And to think today China is the country that has the topend gachas with their population supporting it

Also what is the world we live in where Sneyking is a 2 time winning TI, and probably a top 3 pos5 all time. Never could have predicted that. And to think today China is the country that has the topend gachas with their population supporting it kinda sad, but also not entirely unpredictable. I think younger generations probably identify with gacha more as a whole, and gambling cultures are becoming more mainstream world wide. I wonder if there will ever be any kind of pushback against that.
