Pancakes are Pfannkuchen or Eierkuchen. Though Pfannkuchen are more similar to the French Crêpe than the american Pancake. Eierkuchen, in my family, are smaller and lighter as we use beaten eggwhites folded into the batter. But for many people I know, Eierkuchen and Pfannkuchen are the same. But more recently Pancakes are called Pancakes. Usually you won't be able to order a Pfannkuchen anywhere, as these are mostly called Crêpe. As people have said, Berlin is weird :D Though I'm sure the above classification is common. | ||
