Putin is a fascist through and through even if he miss the old USSR, his "second" in command, Aleksandr Dungin, its an apologist of fascism that has extreme relations with the extreme right-wing in Europe. And he wants the Russian conqueror idea back.

I'm currently in the first main dungeon-ish area (i think?) and it's producing a strange uncanny valley effect where the dungeon design is extremely souls like but the rest of the open world area up to that point is not at all like a souls game and that's really fucking with me

As much as I fear nuclear war nightmare. I also know it is a great deterrent for stupid shit like this. The fascist Putin wouldn't have even tried the invasion if Ukraine had nukes themselves (another lesson of nuclear disarmament )

Ukraine had no way to maintain or launch those nukes. They were in the same state as their military in 2014.

I know. But I also have family right at the border. And although my family has it "good" because they are "on the right side" (read: not target of the russian army), I worry for them. Their future, my cousins and their children. There are only losers in this nonsense.

I feel the game being open world is a bit of stretch, sure... you can technically go to many places, but its still gated by difficulty, A LOT.
And there's a clearly path in the game that you need to follow. Doesnt mean its bad tho, just for the record.
