The thing about Grant was that everyone knew he was a massive piece of shit for several years - from like 2008-2015 he was just a garbage human. He seemed to have reformed, and that was a large part of his appeal. Now it seems like he hadn't reformed quite as much as hoped (even this behavior is actually a MASSIVE improvement from the worst nadota days). He was quite entertaining as a caster and probably the most knowledgeable about nadota, so it is easy to see why he got invites. He's a guy who shouldn't drink ever really, and I've always thought the afterparties at tournies were a generally bad idea, given the makeup of the DotA scene. I'm pretty sure he's not even close to the worst offender, given the demographics. There are people saying they won't name names besides Grant, but claiming stuff has happened at them. | ||

I as many others with me I guess hoped Grant had changed, but this is inexcusable. It's sad he's blaming it on his alcohol problem. Speaking as someone with previous problems with alcohol, I didn't go out and harass women (or worse) when I drank, sure everyone is different, but alcohol really isn't an excuse for shitty behaviour. Definitly not for repeated shitty behaviour, which seems to be the case here. | ||

The girl in this scenario is unknown as of right now, and the girl who posted her message isn't involved (wickedcosplay). She's just helping this other girl post the message anonymously. Also the twitlonger seems extremely believable to me because there are multiple people in the story that could corroborate what happened. Stuff like that is very unlikely to be fabricated. | ||

Llama was an aspiring (not good, but thats beside the point) female dota caster who Grant harrased and defamed to the point that she pursued a restraining order from the court. Also, Im really shocked by how many people are saying that theyre not surprised. I honestly had no idea and Ive followed the Dota pro scene religiously since before Dota 2 was announced. I thought Grant was maybe a bit edgy, but nothing to this extent. On the flipside, its interesting listening to Zyori's reaponse to allegations against him. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/657368576 Falsely accusing someone of rape should have very very severe consequences, but it seems like it rarely does. | ||
