I don't even think he was baiting them into wasting spells.....they just had no other way of getting rid of them because they were so tanky and did so much damage. Multiple times they actually HAD to pop bkb because otherwise they would die to the illusions. I've never seen such a farmed PL ever. He also countered shotgun morph in the end with a dagon 5.

If you didnt see the Darer vs LGD game watch this. Amazing game, loved Darer's draft. Everything about it screams early game agression.

A good PL who has space to farm should be able to max out at 40ish minutes, meaning radiance travels manta diffusal2 heart butterfly, and then of course you might be the strongest possible hero without rapiers. Even assuming you have bad allies who try to steal your farm, but also assuming you don't have a terrible start.

PL's one of the hardest carries in the game so long they don't have Gorgon/OD yea? Your mass illusions just wreck freaking everything and it's really hard to pin down and focus PL. He also burns mana retardedly fast with diffusal too. Only problem is he literally needs like 30 minutes of free farm to be good unless he's getting fed.

Weaver is nowhere near as farm intensive as PL. Radiance build for weaver is not the "only" build like it used to be. Weaver is a very strong midgame dps hero with items like treads, medallion or drums.

medallion + phase boots + yasha is pretty rediculous on weaver for the mid game. phase boots to allow you a perma speed buff between sujuchi and phasing.  but i think i might be the only person to bother with phase on weaver lol.

Normally yes, but he was left to solo vs a ds in lane, and had literally nothing but boots at the ~15 minute mark, and had died about 5 times. At about ~20 minutes, he actually got enough stats for his illusions to be able to tank jungle, and from there he just farmed really well and avoided ganks. By the end of the game he had 700 cs.

I had a rather surprising match today. I have been trying to become better with morpling so just -ap'ing him when ever I play. Well, I had a match where I did pretty bad early, but I managed to dodge Linas skills 85% of the time. First time being able to do so to that degree. But what really made me happy was Lina accusing me of hacking multiple times. I've had that happen in other games, but never in DotA 2. I had a big smile on my face when ever I read that :-)
Morphling is such a fun hero to play, will be quite enjoyable when can l play him reasonably well.

Just remembered, I know in the league of legends subforum they have a specific thread for lol players that are learning dota. Could try that out, you would be basically all starting out in the same boat. Last i remembered it seemed to be fairly popular

Perhaps you can make it a bit more general as well. So, you can have practice groups, but allow for people to add themselves to a list for others to play with. I know for myself, almost none of my friends play dota 2 so having a source that people can look to for people to add would be convenient. I think in the early stage of dota 2 beta, there was a list on Tl but probably vanished when many more people joined.
Oh and Xizor, another idea would be to have a dedicated dota 2 channel for it. Tl channel is nice and all but quite often, dead. So might make it easier to find people if there was a single channel for the newbies to find players to team-up with.
