Any chance it was the 5th person on sd? I had the same thing happen and could not figure out what to do. I just restarted steam and entered tf2, then reloaded dota 2. It worked, but not sure if that was due to it fixing itself or changing games.

i'm having a pretty Fucking Torrid time playing as a Carry.Lost almost all games where I picked Carry whereas I rape with Support heroes like Leshrac and Windrunner..
Are there any general Pointers to playing a Carry...Do I prioritize Farm over Everything else in the first 20 mins? Why does Morphling need a Linkens So Bad(Seems overpriced to me)?Which is the Best Carry in Pub Games ( apart from Lycan)?
Which are the Usual Items that Stregth , Agility or Intelligence Carries generally always have?

you dont need linkins on morph, you just make eblade as fast as possible and splat people
also thats why you need to farm as a carry, good items are expensive

as a hard carry you mostly ignore your team (though you still want to pick up easy kills whenever possible, for example tping against tower divers) until you have a couple core items
if you need to put pressure on the other team just push while you farm instead of static farming
linkens is mostly a farming item on morph. it's not absolutely necessary, but it's pretty nice cus you can just solo push all day. eblade and manta are viable alternate first items (or bkb but it's generally not necessary, especially in pubs), but you have to play a bit more more conservative with your mana
pretty much everything is a solid carry in pub play, and itemization depends very heavily on the hero

Avoid fights unless they are really really in your favour. TP to empty lanes to farm, if the rest of your team are engaged in a fight, try and push and take a tower in a different lane. Heroes like antimage with high mobility are really really annoying to play against in that respect.

Dont pick pl, that's all. If you pick pl, the chances are very high that your team lose it before you're useful.

^that isnt true in lower skill pubs. Tons and tons of khimari's make it really hard for some people to play.
It's interesting how easily people can become seriously confused because their is too much chaos on the screen.

if there is a fight/a gank in your own lane, it takes priority of course. also, if there is a big fight near one of the other towers, consider tping (depends on the situation). going around ganking is usually not worth it, but again, depends.

He doesnt. In fact i have seen some dissapointing performances by linkens morphlings way too often...guess its still a valuable choice though. if farm is going your way, consider ethereal blade rush.

well, the question is how much support you get from your team, as in do you play with friends where one/some support you (or maybe you guess from picks/first items that someone else in your team will)? if so, anything goes, if not, you might want to pick someone who has reliable escapes and farming. morph is a good choice i guess, weaver is another.

depends on the specific hero really. you often see manta style on agility carries (morph!) because its so good. bkb is also a staple sooner or later in most carry builds.

The only thing linkens has going for it is that it has a good buildup in having a pers, however with ring of aquila and a bottle+wand you should be fine really
Don't forget that Manta removes debuffs aswell, usefull for Silences(e.g Night Stalker, or even Drow Ranger if there happens to be one in the game) or other nasty debuffs.
ow and if you are pro you can dodge stuns/projectiles with it
