It's possible. Happens all the time in Dota 1, now with the patch, expect to see it in Dota 2. Here's an example of a game:

Also has a VOD with commentary. Showcases an epic Dark Seer, Axe and Undying combo.

I feel like DoTA is so much more fun than SC2, I actually stopped playing SC2. Every DOTA game is different, while in SC2, things you need to do in order to win is fairly straightforward, as the number of strategies you can employ are limited.
However, with so many possible hero combinations, no DOTA game is same. Each game offers a different adventure. It's just so much fun to discover new heroes, win narrow games or pull off great teamfights.

^ yeah, in sc2 first 5 minutes of the game will be exactly the same 98% of the time depending on matchup and map, while in dota... If russians are playing nothing is sure

I think it has a lot to do with the fact Dota is a team game and SC2, while it does have teams, is much more 1v1 (and I find it much more fun 1v1).
When I used to play SC2 with friends, we'd have 1v1s with everyone else spectating and we would take turns. We didn't really like team games. I'm guessing a decent amount of people who watch SC2 don't actually play anymore (my friends are in this category).

Any body up for some ar inhouses? Will be in games with password tlar for the next few hours I think. Purely for fun, no whining about heroes allowed

Hey, has anyone found that the endgame screen is really buggy? It's showing me at level 22 after every game and no items spawn (also takes a bit longer than before to show up). As a result, no one gets items (as far as I can see),
Also, the stats.dota2.be website hasn't been updating.

I don't even watch tournaments for the sake of gameplay, I only watch SC2 tournaments due to the scene and watching some of my favourite progamers play, casters say funny things etc. SC2 is pretty 1-a-ish beside TvT and TvZ so it really bores me.

I tried playing but I feel like I am too old for the amount of micro and macro you need in sc 2. Dota 2 is far more relaxing. However ROG is awesome. Great matches so far.

Is it correct that the defense game tonight between PB and Na'Vi had 15k viewers ingame?
Because for a tournament that could barely pay out it's 10k pricepool from the first defense and needed sponsors to host the second one, that's a lot of money.
If they get all or most of the €4 for an ingame ticket, that's at least 60k. I'm just happy that such a well run and popular tournament is finally getting some serious love and stability.

"Joindota’s The Defense is also pushing towards their finals and in anticipation we are running a Free Weekend for that Tournament. All Dota 2 players will be able to watch live games plus any replays starting tonight and lasting until Monday. Just in time to watch Mouz, CLG, Na’Vi and POTM Bottom duke it out."
|
It was free to watch tonight. If I understood Tobi correctly, he said that it will be free throughout the weekend. Not sure how many people bought the tickets, but before today's games, there were about 400 people on average that were watching it via DotaTV, so I guess the number that paid for the tournament is a few hundreds above that.

I've never had that happen. I don't play Lycan a tremendous amount but occasionally in SD or RD he winds up being the best mid on the team. Or APGOLD mode (when everyone just randoms for the gold). I've gone mid with him two or three times, I've also solo'd on occasion with him on both long lane and safe lane (you can guess which of those works far, far better).
People don't mind him straight up laning as long as he doesn't leave for the jungle at 3, start with jungle items, and totally gimp his partner. With the right support (disablers who can keep the people in place) he and his wolves dish out a lot of damage even at level 1 (though waiting til 3 is probably more viable).
