I always thought of it as nothing but a +dmg item and never looked at it any closer. Not like it matters at all but it's just fucking weird to learn something new about an item you buy all the time. | ||

But in Dota 2 you can change resolution and this can have a pretty big impact on how much you can see, since it apears they not only crop the sides, they also change the viewing distance, as you can see from the screenshots in this thread: http://www.playdota.com/forums/showthread.php?t=588579 + Show Spoiler + Those are old pictures but I don't believe anything really changed about it. | ||

If you look at landmarks on the top and bottom, they are pretty close to each other. I really don't think there is a issue between 16:10 and 16: 9. 4:3 is a bigger problem and I'm still not convinced it's such a huge deal, considering there is no easy solution for the issue. | ||
