You can add Darer to that list. They have zero major achievements, unstable roster, their current form is awful and they have been consistently thrashed by both mTw and mouz, neither of which got invited to the International.

Either Valve are incompetent in recognizing quality teams, trying to stir some cheap drama by inviting any team that has Artstyle or they are catering to Eastern European fans. Neither of those options inspires much confidence in their ability to successfully manage the esports aspect of the game. At least I hope they don't try to actively sabotage the scene like Blizzard does and just leave it to grow organically.

darer was doing pretty well when they received their invite
m5 is the only good team from russia, and they're not even that bad

mouz and mtw didn't have any results during invitations

Compare the tournament results of the three teams and tell me which metric can you use to claim that Mouz and mTw have inferior results than Darer:

Actually, I think many of you are underestimating iG. Watch some of their recent matches and maybe you might reconsider.

They got invited on 25 May. All of the listed mTw and Mouz achievements, except for the last Dramhack and Arena, are before that date. And that's not even counting the winter Dreamhack that mTw (then WHB) won, which isn't in the table.

current mTw and previous mTw (aka WHB) has very different lineups.

I think it has a much larger radius than the old aura, and it affects melee of course. It will also have a much bigger early impact. People skill command aura for pushes.

Which is why it isn't in the table, but at the same time this kind of logic is the only plausible justification I've heard so far for including Darer--the implicit suggestion that it's headed by the captain that won the last major tournament and therefore might have the potential to be decent. I'm pointing out that even by this line of thinking mTw would be the more logical choice.

try clicking on their "achievements" instead of just looking at the pretty pictures, they win over mediocre teams and lose the instant they face any half-decent team

mtw was pretty awful before they started bootcamping
mouz had nothing back then too

Hi Kona

missed u

iG LGD are playing good Dota, Tongfu qualified, M5 got invited for Starpower, mTw has been stepping up their game by about 500% and qualified, aside from that they have been beating pretty much all teams in the west and Na'vi in a BO3 at dreamhack , using Tinker very often.
and I suggest

Zenith winning from AL with an Axe mid.

http://www.joindota.com/en/news/3503-kuroky-i-learn-from-my-experience

Rather nice interview with kuroky

Question: Let me cite your words from a recent interview: “Realistically, all teams besides Na'Vi don't provide the skill level I am interested in. I'm not looking for some top eight placements.” So before joining Virtus.Pro you thought their skill is enough to compete for top one? Do you still think the same?

Answer: All players of Virtus.Pro have very high experience and skill, with more time the team would be a strong contender. We lacked strategies in our games, or at least we couldn't execute them the way we wanted.

About my statement, at that time I was much more confident in my skill, but the last few months showed that I need to work much harder. My working moral is very bad, be it Dota or real life. I really need to work on my mindset.

Well, to be fair the learn tab is pretty useless.

It just shows how the spell looks like, not what it does or when to properly use it

Seeing how a spell look is still a giant step tho. When you read the description of some spells, you really have no idea what they really do for some of them (like ghost ship).
