Pushing the drinking age back to 18 over time wouldn't be the worst thing ever, however, but it would have to be "over time" and not tomorrow everything is legal, WOOOOOOOO!

Shady people with big words claiming all the popular wc3 maps as their own, rather than the original developers. And even with the developers it's often a very grey area with who created what. I just hope the right people get the right credit and reward for their work and ideas all those years ago, and are given the chance to do so again now. The funny thing is that people randomly grabbing other people´s work and modifying it created some of the best maps in WC3. DotA AllStars as the name says was already a compilation of several diferent maps. One of the best improvements in dota history was made by a random russian guy. Its hard to argue against protecting the rights of the developer, but it was a diferent time and the free for all mindset in WC3 was amazing for the custom map explosion.

Societies do, in fact, learn how to live with something productively if it is a constant presence. Not least because evolutionary pressures weed out the ones who can't live with it. Compare the driving situations in India or China to the ones in the US. Plenty of people still die in the US, but at least it isn't as batshit insane as in those developing nations that haven't had the time to adjust to their cars. There are some things that are totally inappropriate to be lived with, such as allowing children to drive. But allowing alcohol consumption for 18-year-olds? That's not unreasonable in the slightest. Many cultures live with it. Why don't we?

Many cultures live with it. Why don't we? There would be a huge change in the system from bottom up (policies, laws, etc.) that nobody wants to deal with. It's not as simple as change one number from 21 to 18 and have everybody deal with it. Also the laws pretty much fine; nothings stopping anyone before 21 from drinking if they want to and it just serves as another reminder that you are an adult or w/e when you hit that age. Also the moment you change the drinking age to 18 it's going to be like opening Pandora's box in the states for the first month or so. There'd probably be like 500% spike of alcohol related accidents + ER visits and it'd be hell to manage.
