Handegg has the problem that one team in from New England and has an open stadium, while the other is from Texas and practices in a dome. Also wind, the sun and crowd. Eagles stadium used to have fans that would scream while the visiting team would be calling out its plays(this is key, because they could change them after the huddle) and would be dead silent during the Eagles plays on offense. Also they threw batteries from the stands onto the field, at the opposing teams players. And Santa Clause. Eagles fans are no joke. Being at TI4 actually worried me a bit because there's limited amounts of protection from idiocy like this put in place in order to make the player experience as "normal" as possible since fans aren't that stupid. But I'm worried they may end up that stupid in a few years.

Other teams can do the same to Eagles when they play outside too but thats beyond the point, what does sportmanship has to do with the discussion?
€: Also your first point is mute. Not sure about handegg but most games on football are played twice (one home one away) and when they aren't they are mostly played on "neutral" field. On Champions League and UEFA cup Iberian teams get a lot of disadvantage when they go to play on subzero temperatures to poland/russia/ukraine but it evens out because they have to play on 20+ when they play the other game

I also said that the sun tends to be dimmer when by halftime.

There are crazy people on the internet and some of them like video games. The thread of high speed D-batteries is real.
Its only a matter of time before someone does somethign really dumb. The key will be for everyone to be like "fuck that guy", rather than "Fuck (insert team-fans/nationality/LoL players).

Well when it comes to servers, its just home field advantage. One team gets it and the other team deals with it. Then you switch and move on. No one cries about it and just accepts it as part of the game.

People already do it to planes and green lasers(which is fucking illegal, do not do that, you can get people killed and they will fucking find you). Where is that EG Gunner Glasses sponsorship when you need them. There is a selling point right there. Fucking Laser Resistant. I already want a pair.

I also said that the sun tends to be dimmer when by halftime. It really depends on leagues though. UK plays mostly from like 13 to 20 whereas in Portugal games don't start before 18. But my point is, in football it evens out because you almost always play twice. Once with advantage and another with disadvantage.
On dota if EU plays NAE and its a bo3 either a) all games are played on the same server because of league rules/location and one team gets handicaped b) one of the teams plays one more game on their server c) they play a 3rd game on a "neutral server" that given the location of both teams will still benefit one over the other (NAW or Russian) or they play like on SEA and the game might as well not be played and decide it by coinflip

So some players will have: a pair of gunner glasses, a pair of regular glasses*, 1 headset for microphone, a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, and a pair of earphones? Sounds fun.
*they might have to switch to contacts if they want the gunner glasses, but I've seen 3D movies with 2 pairs of glasses without problems.

How do I english this? This came from google translate but sounds odd. I mean prescription lenses on gunars (word for it in portuguese is "graduadas" which translates into that)

yeah come to think of it anyone could easily throw heavy shit at the casters if they wanted to.

Hey, I'm watching dendi's stream and he seems to have lag, like all the people in his game?
Is this affecting everyone? Thanks!

To be fair, events don’t often have the secret, super powerful ingredient that causes the majority of these bad decisions possible.
Booze. You have to be truly hammered to throw a D-battery at Tobi or Santa-Clause.

the only thing keeping people from using casters heads as target practice is that beers are like 9 bucks. and also that the average age is probably around 19-20. The VIP section had hard liquor though and nowhere else did. VIP section is silly. I snuck in day2 with the help of a cool security guard and the view was atrocious. only advantage is you get to see pros without lines. def not worth the $350 extra or w/e it is. they didnt even have hd tvs they just had these oldschool tvs with a crappy picture and washed out colors.

some province in canada is voting to raise the drinking age to 21 I think. Its pretty dumb.
Let kids drink at 16 or w/e, it allows them to learn to drink responsibly. Making kids wait till 21 to be "legal" just ends up in them making all the wrong associations with booze and basically learning to problem drink when they start drinking at 16-18 instead of to drink intelligently.
|
Its funny because a lot of people agree with that in the US, but no one is willing to deal with the 2-5 years from rampant drunk driving and other stupidity that would because by lowering the drinking age. And the stupidity would be full teenage drunk stupidity, which is the highest level of drunk stupid.
