If Treads were right 100% of the time, we wouldn't see Phases on Spec as much as we do in competitive play. It's at the very least playstyle-dependent, and likely very situational. And I disagree about Spec not needing escapability. Compared to many other hard carry picks, she has much less reliable escapability. She needs much more of it to reach the "unstoppable farm" status than, say, Antimage or Faceless, because they have blinks, which are ultimately much stronger at getting you out of trouble than Dagger or her Ulti. If you are ganked properly, blink is not gonna save ya'. Void's pseudoevasion saves you more than blink and Spectre is much more unstoppable than AM or DT when it get's farmed. AM's current advantage is uncoordinated people playing pubs.

No, he means for pro players--in the past certain players who have exhibited exceptional skill and dominance sometimes get referred to with "god" status in the community (e.g. Vigoss referred to as V-god). I think I've seen Chinese commentators hijack the terminology. I remember watching a G-League cast where 820 called Burning the equivalent of "B-god".

Yeah exactly this, watched a chinese made Loda documentary couple days ago and they mentioned his God status and since DotA is the biggest in China I just wanted to check if they used it for their players still today. Don't know since I myself don't know any chinese, so don't know their community to well just their baller teams/players ![]() edit: the documentary, is pretty good make sure you have cc on so you get subtitles if you don't know chinese :D also a link to a wodota special on vigoss. I like to watch stuff about the good ol' days xD

If you join the channel it will join it the next time you start Dota 2 as well.

I'm always in the TL channel whenever I play, although admittedly I usually only play with a select few friends or twitter friends nowadays.

Its rough when only 1 person does it ![]() I've had a much bigger issue with support activatables than with consumables. It's unrealistic to expect your support to be able to get all of the necessary support items. The cheaper ones like Urn and Medallion are fine, but honestly, there are a lot of the other team support items that should be built on other people. Mekan and Force Staff are more likely to get finished in reasonable time on a caster, Pipe should show up on beefy initiators because they'll probably get Hood anyway, and that puts you more than halfway there, and pretty much anybody can get Janggo (and I mean anybody--PIS even said in one of his videos that Phases+Janggo is the new way to plays SF).

My point is that a lot of the time it shouldn't even BE the 4th or 5th position support buying those items.

Yea guys just think supports that are warding etc. can magically get enough farm to get those items and continue to do that job. People seem to only think in terms of damage or follow some build they have seen a pro do without any thought about the game or team.
