If it's after bloodstone, then well, you've pretty much passed the point where it was most effective. I see manaboots as more of a pushing/support item. If you need mana you can also go ring of basilisk too.
It depends on your skill build. Phase Boots makes far more sense for Edict-first builds where movespeed matters a lot for your ability to keep damage on someone, and your cooldown on Edict is long, so it doesn't strain your mana hugely. For Lightning-first builds, Manaboots allows you to sustain casting Lightning much more often, and your mana usage is just generally much higher.
Basi makes no sense as your mana regen item choice on Lesh. You pass the breakpoint where Sobi is more regen than Basi by level 3.
How the hell are you supposed to carry your team as Furion? I got an early double kill at the start so I farmed midas in 8 minutes, afterwards I went treads guinsoo and aghanims. Unfortunately the rest of my team feeds Riki making him beyond godlike and we just can't beat them in a straight up fight. I try to solo push lanes but they can just tp back and if Riki catches me by myself then it's a guaranteed death.
I'm just confused as how to play this hero because people here talk of Furion like he's an easy win in pubs when all of his skills rely on his teammates not being retarded. I mean Furion can't 1v1 anyone, or maybe I am doing something wrong. Any advice? I'd like to improve my furion game but I'm just not sure how to play him, or even if my item build and skill build is correct. This is what I build:
1. Starting: Sobi mask, 3 branches and 2 clarities 2. Rush Midas 3. Magic Wand, power treads 4. Urn and Medallion if I feel like playing support, last game my gold was doing fine so I skipped them and rushed guinsoo 5. Guinsoo 6. Aghanims 7. Mjollnir?
Skill build is force of nature/teleport with one level of sprout mixed in whenever I want to gank. I also spam my ultimate whenever it's off cd, is this correct?

Ok first off Midas is a poor item that is intended for you to bring it to late game and play the role of a carry, if u want to play a support furion skip the midas entirely and go for a mek. Personnaly i think Midas is a crappy item that is only usefull if u are playing vs incompetent people.
Ur ult and ur sprout give u mobility and a global farming tool, u can basically tp to a lane farm the wave and tp back to safety so farming and getting big items while keeping the lane pushed is preaty easy with furion. That is why people call him a pub smash hero because if ur understanding of the game is vastly superior to the rest of the team u can totally outfarm everyone and kill them.
But furion is still at best a semi-carry, a well feed true carry like riki will alwais kill u in a 1v1 situation.
Spamming ultimate whenever off cd is a complicated thing, if ur playing support u don't want to do it because it will push the lane and steal gold from ur carries, u can use it at the begining of a teamfight or if u see 2 out of 3 lanes dont have anyone and their being pushed u can go for it.
To resume furion is a complicated hero that can pubsmash but can also be as a whole more of a nuisance to the team than help so be carefull.

dagon (ghost scepter/ethereal) dazzleator guinsoo mjolnir, I'm only semi-kidding here, if you want to carry with furion get those ! :D
#1 mistake pub Furions make is farming too hard and not contributing enough to the team early game.
You're really not that strong in midgame fights because you have a weak disable and long cooldown AoE. You need to establish your presence early game. Obviously there is such thing as screwing up your own tempo by ganking unsuccessfully, but in pubs people overextend so much that if you're actually paying attention to the minimap, there will be lots of free kills to take.
If you're not involved in 80%+ of the kills that happen in a game as Furion, you're either doing something wrong, or your team is stomping so hard that they're getting solo kills before you can port in. This is especially true when you have your ult, as you can get a hand in kills without even having to port.
Do you guys have any advice for windrunner in the mid/late game?
Specifically I'm generally having pretty strong early games with wind runner, but towards the mid game I feel like I'm having trouble contributing well. I can counter-push with powershot and I do my best with shackles in teamfights, but even so I just feel like I'm not really able to do a whole lot to help my team really take the advantage even when my farm is pretty good.
As for items I'm going force staff + mek and occasionally ring of basilius. How I build it out varies, but my general thought has been to get the armor ring early on and if my farm is good I go for boots + force staff, then make boots of tranq, then break them later for mek and make either treads or phase boots. If my farm is poor I'll make the ring of basilus, boots, then focus on mek.
I'm also not sure how much I should be ganking with WR. She's obviously got some power in ganking, but early on especially I feel hard pressed to be able to get up on someone to shackle/power shot them. (FWIW I did read Flamewheel's awesome guide already).

Mek before Force in games where you're making Mek. 10-12 minute Mek lets your team start pushing together and taking towers, which lets you really build up a lot of momentum quickly.

Windrunner's midgame depends on what items you've accrued. Her solo-killing power isn't that high, so you either have to really "outplay" opponents to gain an advantage or use items to their fullest effects. As Yango said, Mekansm lets your team enjoy a mini-snowball effect if you get it quickly enough. With Force Staff and Phase Boots you can solo push and escape from most enemy compositions (with a modicum of map awareness). Split your time between farming and ganking--I err toward the former more, but judge based on your team.
Late game you have to rely primarily on items. Utility Windrunner is built in a way that most items are active--Mekansm, Force Staff, Pipe, Hex, Orchid, Drum are all viable possibilities. There's no set-in-stone way of approaching late game fights. You just have to shackle people (don't just blindly throw out that awesome stun if you're not going to get a full shackle), use items judiciously, and don't die. Powershot is awesome for anti-pushing and has a 9 second cooldown with 1800 range. Also, BoT Windrunner is pretty decent at semi-backdooring.

midas -> phase -> vyse -> mjollnir -> mom and you split push if your team is retarded or simply time your tel to come once they have initiated and right click your way to victory :D You shouldn't need aghanim to have a >700 gpm and it gives you survivability that you don't really need imo And if you have a good map awareness, always carry a tp to try to snipe the courier on his way back then tp out :D
