1.his can steal most spell but not all. and his nuke/skills are balanced except sometimes his small aoe stun makes me cringe. 2.giving a rubbick solo mid is no go (until some pro game to show me thats legit XD), is the same for giving invo mid but comes with wayyyy bigger risk. obviously in a game which 10players are competent and no retard picks.
i will actually put him in shit tier for his bad mobility, no escape mechanism, fragile and can be completely useless in late game. he is mainly there for fun but can be very strong against some line up/situation.
yes he's not game deciding, but laning against him is just ridiculous because of his low cd, relatively low manacost nuke which also reduces dmg

I've won 7 games in a row now...and I am scared. So frightened of what MM will throw at me. Somehow, been getting decent allies. But when will it end? This fear of the unknown, when the noobs will hit the fan (or more likely, land in my team), I can't take it. AhhhhhhH!

I do agree with you guys on the whole too easy to get featured thing. It seems any streamer from one of the big teams can immediately get featured even if they've never streamed before, and honestly some of them are not very good streamers. I don't remember it being so easy in sc2 / bw.

It started out being very easy but then they became far stricter. I can only assume the same thing will happen with dota 2. While game is still beta/new they will feature pros for being pros but later on they will be strict. It seems like a decent approach in my opinion but there's merits for being strict now as well.

Why wouldn't you put him solo mid? He has a spammable AoE nuke to push waves for get rune control and telekinesis should be good enough to save him from ganks. Midgame you can gank quite easily with telekinesis, and in late game his aura will make sure your supports don't die to a single sk epicentre or something along those lines. Then there's his ulty which is a really random ability, imo. Might be worth the gamble, because it can win you a teamfight.
I see Rubic similarly to Shadowdemon, except sd can support and semi-carry, whereas Rubic can only solo.

so why is rubick played as a support in competitive games then ?
and sd semi carry, wth ?

Yeah, SD solo mid completely outlanes almost all other heroes. Outlevel everyone else, get deso on him, kill everything with your own images etc. Problem is that you have no disables and late game other heroes start to over take him.

Is he played as a support? I heard about one game he was used and the team that used him failed. And why wouldn't SD be a semi carry? He is playing solo mid from time to time.

how does that make him a semi carry, I dont get it
you can get a deso on cm if you want that doesnt make her a semi carry

That kind of does make her "a semi carry". The term semi carry I know can be applied in a hero skillset aspect but I think it can also be applied in game to those that you are giving farm but aren't one of the "hard carry" heroes. So a CM with 6 slots of damage/hp owning it up could be called a "semi carry".
edit: It seems I should follow the conversation more sorry this little paragraph seems irrelevant.

You don't get deso ffs, why would you? Semi-carry is probably a little misleading. Let's just say he's the solo mid hero and therefore gets more experience and farm then other heores. similarly to how windrunner is sometimes played solo mid, you rush a mek, force staff, sheep etc.

i actually think that es going midas first is very feasible, if es keeps pulling at the 1minute 15s mark (and subsequently every minute) it's possible to get a midas by 10 mins

Ontop of that your enemies might block the spawn.

but honestly, i want to see some quality into the stream that are being featured. the bar should be raised above than just 'being in a sponsored team'. Streams should provided educational constructive material(which i find in maelk and synderen) or straight up entertaining (singsing tobi)... something which is just half way such as Demon or ixMike, etc... should be considered carefully.

Watching him earlier today and he was playing with Power.Net. I have to say...that kid is so impressive. First time I saw him play was the WE vs Captain Planet game, were he was definitely the MVP. Then every game I see him in since, it is like 500+ gpm carry. I think the game he played with ixmike he was a SF with 740+ GPM at the end. Ridiculous carry player and child prodigy.
seems like at least some people find it educational.
as for blitz's stream. his commentary is actually really good. he makes an effort to teach people of all skill levels how to play heroes, while also streaming scrims occasionally etc.
