I haven't even played my placement matches yet because I already know my skill level is in the sub 4k range.

That's in your experience. Personally i've had better games overall, the only time Ranking has seriously made me angry is during my calibration matches, where it seems my ranking slipped by 300000points and i had people on my team who apparently had no idea on how to play (given the fact that in all 10 calibration matches, I was the only person to buy obs/sentry/dust no matter what role i played). Otherwise I win some, I lose some, and its rare that I find people raging.

ranked feels exactly the same to me as unranked: you pick a hero, you do good/ feed , your team is sometimes bad, sometimes really good,

for the most part the game matches you with players that are +/- 200 mmr unless there are stacks or you are really high ranked (5500-6500) so there is really no point in bragging with your mmr when most people are close to that anyways. I kinda want solo-q back because horrible games are usually with some random stacks especially if they don't speak english.

That was my biggest concern on RMM before they actually implemented it and sadly it really changed the game.
Casual queue is shit because whichever side is actually trying will win (some people play the mode for the lol/being casual but some people/stack actually play the mode because of various reasons). Ranked queue is where you see people spamming certain heroes or pick certain line up for some 'easy win'.
The toxicity of some players is gradually increasing as well: 'i am 4.5k mmr pls you noob 4.1k mmr gtfo' etc. In which people who played HoN should have experienced that already so I really don't understand why some people wanted ranked mm so badly.
Well i dont play often nowadays so what do i care. Miss the good days of dota2 during early beta.

Personally I'm just going to keep banging the drum about solo queue.
It was an AWFUL idea to remove solo queue to add in ranked mode. Truly awful. Ranking does nothing but piss people off, cause arguments and inflate e-peen. Whereas solo queue let people avoid having to play with stacks when they're playing by themselves unless they really want to; which I don't. Why in the name of Gabe would you make that exchange?

Ranked is much better, for one - everyone in unranked generally sucks and doesn't try and you have duel mids and 5 carries
atleast in ranked, people will *most of the time* pick a support if the team needs one
you just have to care less about your ranking, and enjoy dota the same way you would in unranked - just keep in mind your goal is to win (and it's fair to expect your teammates to do the same)

I don't see how "rating talk" is a problem. Yeah, it's annoying when someone claims they are hot shit because of their MMR, but the problem in HoN was that people could see your MMR and thus be assholes to you because of it. In Dota 2, they can't see your MMR unless they are friends with you, so it's a non-issue.

I am doing the A-Z in ranked and since then i have dropped 750 mmr so far, so i can say that i can judge the difference between 2750 and 2000 mmrrange. I started doing A-Z in ranked because the game felt less fun after the shown mmr thing was introduced. Eventually, i hope it gives me 1 mmrstep back and two mmrsteps forward (more gameknowledge and -sence), if you cant beat the trolls join them!
There are noticeable differences between both mmrzones, but not by skill, just more feeders, trolls and badmannered players. All this gave me the feeling of less gameimpact and more lobsided games. I cant say if this also counts for mmr ranges higher up the ladder though. If you are competitive but slided more then 600 mmr in a short period, it could well be that you will notice more similar players, more lobsided games and less enjoyment overall when playing tryhard. I just am glad i dont tryhard anymore, just try to enjoy the game and thats basically it.
So if you feel less enjoyment you should start doing A-Z and see your mmr evaporate like never before... who the f*&^cares just have fun

not sure if this is a bug, but I don't see any different between "Auto attack after spell" and "Auto attack". When I turned auto attack ON and auto attack after spell OFF, my hero didn't auto attack anymore.

750 mmr seems like a lot but actually it is only ~30 more lost games than won games. So you do A-Z you lose a lot and get worse games? But you say this increased your enjoyment?

30 more losses than wins is a lot though. Let's say you have a 55% win rate, which is pretty good. That means in 100 games, you're going 55-45, gaining only 10 wins. So to make up 30 games, at that rate you'd have to play 300 games.

This is intentionally tanking games for people. You are literally ruining people's experiences in Dota. If you don't want to take the game serious, play unranked. I don't think it's fair of you to do this to people, no matter what their MMR is. You should be able to play serious Dota at any level. The beauty of ranked is it allows people who want to fuck around can play unranked, where the people who want to play to win can play ranked. You're messing with that formula

The problem in hon wasn't about mmr it was about people being able to see your other stats like k/d etc...so people would rage about a guy picking carry since they had a bad k/d ratio, etc... even though they are similar rating. Actually knowing the MMR's in your game is useful so you can play around it. It's like when you play with a newbie friend you don't send them mid and rage at them for getting owned 1v1, you set them up to have a good game.
"Good old days of dota2 during early beta", I lol'd

Indeed, i was stable at 2700 like +/-200 and now i can clearly see that A-Z gave me this drop. Ofcourse i guessed beforehand that i would looose about 1000 mmr when A-Z in ranked and frankly it seems i was right, haha IO, Batrider, Chen, Broodmother, magnus, Enigma (i did 15 blackholes in 1 game to catch 1 hero, he isnt as easy as it looks on the tele ) and etcetctec are pretty hard in a APpub. You dont have a team that supports you, they dont understand the hero and neither do you. Or i allmost never see these example heros in my range because they require more of effort to play good.

I disagree with you in regards to almost all of those heroes that you mentioned apart from Io, and in regards to Io there's obvious reasons for that. I've had an account near your ranking (3k~) so pretty similar experiences i'm sure.
If you're having issues on heroes such as Enigma/Magnus...Chen/Io then maybe you have more issues than just "I don't know how to efficiently utilize my hero" (ie. Mechanical issues).
And I also agree that performing the A-Z challenge in Ranked is pretty poor when you're obviously admitting to not understanding the hero/the role you'll be required to use the hero in or at the very least in a stack.

he was prolly having doubts from the start, but now he's just like 'fuck it' and decided to do AtoZ in ranked to make his downfall more bearable.

There are no players in the 3k range that understand basically anything about playing 1 particular hero. Next to that there mechanics like mine suck, if this wasnt the case they would be in the 5+k range anyway. Secondly, I dont care about someone elses tryhard rank at 3k range anymore. Certainly not after i have dealt with feeders, dq-ers, trolls and badmannered in allmost every AP game till today. I am not talking about CM or CD here, just plain AP games. Fighting with supports for cs and begging for a ward. I just dont care anymore in AP games man, glhf! Lighten the f*&^up else dont play AP
