- You have a decent defensive hard carry on your team.
If both of those are true, I can see rushing aghs+blink on tinker after bots/soulring/bottle just to stall, stall, stall and stall the game out at every single opportunity and try to take the game late. I mean a sheep stick, as good as it is on tinker, takes longer to build and is probably not going to win you the game at this point anyway if you team is doing bad enough they don't have any damage output. 4x rockets + 1100 range laser at around 22/23 minutes though is some serious area denial.
Just speculation. In this scenario you need to be able to make solo pressure, which is when you'd get Dagon. Agha increases your teamfight effectiveness, but not your solo-killing power.
Depends on the oppositions line up and how they play.
If they have a strong 5 man pushing line up and just group mid and head straight for your racks 25 minutes in then I can see Agh's being a viable deterrent.

Usually my tinker games involve me splitpushing and the enemy team pushing as 5 and my team unable to defend. Another way to say 'I have no idea how to play tinker and this is why my team loses when i play tinker' Aka you take all the farm and do nothing that tinker is good at.

If you aren't stealing farm why are you playing tinker?

If that's what they're doing then the incremental gain of Agh's for 4k isn't that high over your usual pattern of double March + Rocket spam. You get those 2 additional rockets if there happen to be 2 other targets in vision to get rocketed, but typically 4+ heroes aren't going to show themselves in vision in a 5-man push. A lot of the time several supports/initiators will be hiding out on the side to find a pick/counter-initiate.

It's actually pretty annoying how common you see Tinkers being the one to split-push when Tinker also happens to be one of the best anti-push heroes in the game. Yes you have Travels, but double Marching that single creep wave on their side of the map is way less effective than double Marching in front of your tower and watching their push evaporate.
It's not even "stealing farm" at that point because you're just outright getting less gold from double Marching a single creep wave rather than using it on their stacked up waves that are pushing your tower while ALSO being less useful to your team.

can sell items when dead (if item was bought while dead) and context-sensitive skill ping too
|
It was absurdly OP at one point. Not sure how it is now.

Items that have been purchased while dead can now be sold, if that item was bought during the same death. Previously, no items could be sold while dead. This is a big deal for baddies like me.
Holding ALT and clicking on an ability will now issue a context-sensitive ping for that ability. This can be used to indicate whether the pinged ability is ready for use, if you do not have enough mana to use this ability, or to indicate the number of seconds remaining on that ability’s cooldown. this is super kewl
