I'd say Pinnacle needs to have its thread in the Tournaments subforum. I mean, it's not a huuuge tournament or anything, but the finale of second game of Speed vs PBSWAG was one of the most exciting things I've seen in DOTA in a long time. *.*

you can't expect people not to talk about tournaments here. spoiler feature is kinda useless unless you wrte spoiler alert before that.

No, the expectation is to avoid spoilers where possible. The whole point of LR threads is to talk about the games when they happen. If you think someone should watch the game, there are ways to direct them to it without spoiling the game.
If no LR thread exists for the tournament, someone is free to make one. Barring that, the appropriate place to discuss it is the General LR thread, not GD.

One of the team sported harder than the other team. Then that team scored more points and won the game. Next time the other team will sport harder.

Granted, I played a shitload of games, but it worked. I also picked only visage during those games, just a tip. How is that any fun? Is getting a higher number more rewarding than just playing the game? you get to play, theoretically, better players The problem with that approach is, that when you reach your desired MMR and stop playing the 1 hero, then you just drop down to where you were before. Oh right. So if you pick a hero which has a certain niche that is extremely potent in the trench tier I currently reside, it means that once you get out of that potato tier, you are completely incapable of playing any other hero and will immediately tank to your original rating. Or maybe, maybe, I will eventually get paired up with players who do not buy double quelling blade on DK, who do not lose as OD vs tinker, who do not create a trilane consisting of Lycan, PL, and Visage. In other words, players that know how to play around certain heroes, instead of me having to play around them with Visage. Just a thought tho

Oh yeah, so you're in MMR hell and you deserve to be much higher than you are. But you just can't get to your level because because you get shit teammates every time? Maaan, that sucks.
I'm being sarcastic, btw.

I'm being sarcastic, btw. "I went from 3600 to 4000 in the span of 2 days" Dayum-hard to understand sentence this is. I'm apparently still a "MMR-whiner" if I reply to someone who is implying that if I only play 1 hero and am winning a lot with it, I am still a trench-tier scrublet "but not with that one hero tho".

When I see whine like that about teammates, the only thing I think of is that that person's mechanics must be incredibly shitty. You know way more about dota than your teammates yet still get matched up with them? Great, doesn't matter since all your knowledge is useless if you can't execute what you "should" be doing.
Either that or you vastly overestimate your knowledge and gamesense and rage at people for the wrong reasons.

Either that or you vastly overestimate your knowledge and gamesense and rage at people for the wrong reasons. It is one thing to say that matchmaking is trying to make even games. It is a whole another ballpark to say that it is actually an accurate representation of skill level.
Please don't tell me you think Dota 2 is particularly reliant on mechanical skill? Literally 90% of the game is knowing random information. But aight seeing as you want examples of mechanical skill: 99% of the people I get queue with have no clue how not to draw creep aggro while harrassing the enemy carry. 2% of the people I get queued with know how to reliably do the pull-through thingie (instead of stacking the pull camp). And I have yet to see someone who can micro themselves out of a shoebox.
But hey, if you want to think of me as someone who is as "mechanically advanced" as a toddler with his arms tied behind his back, be my guest. Kinda funny tho that you seem to imply that after I say I rose up my MMR by playing a lot of Visage, of all heroes.
And the whole point is that I no longer get paired up with double quelling blade DK's after raising my MMR. Now it's just Vlad's PL, so I've still got a ways to go but we'll see.
If anything, what I've posted so far is a big counter-argument that something like ELO hell exists, seeing as I significantly rose my MMR in a few days
