Yes, what is the problem with the strat? if you see it once you ward the spot and kill him later with your team, there should be at least 2 ranged heros close enough to kill him - assuming you have reasonable lanes. If he does it early he will have a really high cooldown on his teleport.

You don't get it at all lol.
The issue is that its INCREDIBLY BAD and yet somehow people still do it.

You misunderstand. I'm not worried about my enemies cliff jungling, I'm worried about my allies cliff jungling.

Cliff Jungling is good because it lets you assist kills at level 1. Or you know thats what Yango would say if he were here.

i sometimes do it if iam close to an item but do not have enough mana for treants, but i guess you are talking about someone doing all the time?

Cliff jungling is inefficient compared to usual treant jungling.
On top of that, you're giving yourself an excuse not to gank early because your TP is on cooldown. And, if your enemy team has a jungler too and is smart, they'll go to the camp where you'll be and steal the creep/deny you from it. So many things can go wrong.

Well if you cliff jungle, 3/5 times you'll hit level 2 right on that camp. At that point you'll have teleport (of course) and can potentially put a point in sprout. Thus, that's the fastest teleport sprout gank you can possibly manage out of the jungle as furion, which should make for an easy first blood. Course, no one ACTUALLY uses it for this...

This is true, and is probably the only good thing that can come out of cliif jungling... Although, this takes a good comibination of luck, skill, and coordination with team mates, which pubs lack most of the time.

Sprout ganks are awful at that point, everybody still has tangos.

It's also in general less common to see Tango-less item starts than it was last patch (e.g. 3 Branch + Salve).

if u want 5min midas without kills or support's help, you have to cliff jungling
|
you dont need sprout to gank with furion......... 99% of furions dont understand the hero. even some front page nub stackers who insta lock furion sucks at the hero.
just fucking go jungle with treants if anybody overextends you tp in and autoattack them to death. if the opponent has a melee mid they pretty much cant contest the lane at all with a furion on the other team.

When people say "cliff jungling Furion" (or "Mountain Prophet" as some call it) they mean a Furion who: 1. Picks Teleport at level 1. 2. Typically gets gloves of haste first (gotta get that midas!). 3. Immediately TPs to the cliff overlooking the camp and starts farming it (occassionally getting killed if its a troll camp).
Nobody means a Furion jumping up onto a cliff really quick when they have maxed teleport in order to grab a quick bit of farm if they're low on mana. Its the level 1 teleport farmer thats the problem.
The problem with it is that it very, very quickly falls off compared to treants and your teleport cooldown is huge so you're stuck up there forever. The one advantage it has is that you don't use much mana and it lets you get Sprout + Teleport combo by level 2. Which means that the one thing you CAN do with it is get your level 2 sprout, then immediately teleport to a lane for a very, very early gank kill; which will let you catch up and give your lane a bit of an advantage.

I dare you to provide a replay of a Furion who gets no kills, no assists, no help from supports, and manages to get a 5 minute midas through cliff jungling.
I dare you.

Honestly in most cases Furion can be involved in getting FB by level 3. Pubs just don't play conservative enough overall for you to expect there to NOT be an overextension you can capitalize on by then. Most pub Furions are either lazy, selfish, or just outright don't see the kill opportunities they can enable.
|
Well, a very large part of furion TP ganks is the lane he's ganking.
Like, you can't gank for a lane that won't help you make it happen. The responsibility lies on BOTH parties. Coordination and all.
Which is why it isn't abused in pubs the way it should be.
