Anyway, I have a question regarding that mid situation. Say you're laning in mid against a SF, DK, Lesh, BM (any of them) or something like that. You're NS, Tiny, Atro, Pudge, or any other ganker that wants to get the move on before or around level 6. So, you want to go gank, but the moment you do the opponent will rape (or at least do dirty things to) your tower. How do you deal with this situation, in competitive matches and in pubs?

In competitive games this is often a good time for the supports to catch up on levels and gold. While the mid ganker starts ganking, a support can hold mid if the opponent tries to push. There is the danger of getting solo-killed, but that's mostly avoided by not being stupid.

Bottle will lose its touch the moment you stop bottlecrowing, but having a Soul Ring gives you constant reg plus always enough mana to cast any one of your spells. If you playing against a decently skilled team, it's just something you have to deal with. Your presence in another area of the maps will always leave a weakness where you moved from. We see this all the time in professional games. If the other team is ganking or just used TP scroll, the opponents will sometimes opt to trade towers. The best you can do is to grab the rune, gank effectively and swiftly, and return to your lane.

I think in these situations you need to intentionally push mid before you leave to gank. This buys a little time for your tower. Then you need to have a TP ready to go back as soon as you get the kill. You can't waste any time, you can't hang out in the sidelane and help push, and if you fail on the gank you need to beam back immediately. Alternatively, you might swap lanes with a carry once you hit 6 or so. There's really no good that can come from leaving SF/DK/Lesh/BM unchecked at mid for any period of time.

here's the latest http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzgxODU4NzYw.html edit: nvm its dotacinema On April 20 2012 09:05 frucisky wrote: been playing Warlock more lately. wrt his skill builds shadow word early is more or less must for baby sitting. I find fatal bonds very situational as usually creeps end up being casted on. thoughts? fatal bonds is ridiculous, especially in lane it's okay if it bonds to creeps because they tend to die really fast every melee creep is ~100 pure damage, every range creep is ~60 pure damage if you just spam it you can force a lot of heroes out of lane

thing about fatal bonds is its mana cost prohibits it from being spammable. having mana for ult and shadow word seems more important.
