PL is a special case I feel because he NEEDS attack speed to be able to get his illusions up.

I'll take a Void over AM in any pub game. His ult at least has some utility at level 6 and he can do something in any fight. AM just brings big right clicks after he farms forever.

You have to consider the cost it is for the carry first and foremost. Can you evaluate whether your going to contribute enough to win a fight? Where is the fight taking place? Do you have to tp for it and temporarily concede your free farm? Even if you won, does the amount of gold you spent on maybe a tp worth it? (You usually need more than one kill in early game) Do you have to spend time to go back to the well to resume your farm?
All of these things.

Drum+Diffusal PL has far larger influence on a game than AM does at similar items.

I faced new brood 2 times in test client and 4 minutes blue wards still makes her early laning a pain. BS global sight on half HP heroe is strong though. He's still very weak to TP.
