to most people, a bug only exists when it has screwed them over in game, or has impacted their experience negatively somehow. until a specific disparity between dota 1 and 2 reaches that point, no one will really care about it, and consequently wont really be thought about as "bugs" unless they are trying to send a message with certain agenda in mind as Yango said.
I suspect that the huge number of bugs (as defined as any disparity between dota 1 and 2) will remain huge for a very long time, and no one will really care.
The only bug that I care about is w/e causes your item to get stuck on your cursor until you restart. That shits fucking annoying.

Basically anything under the "Severe" category of the KBL, plus some of the top 30 or so "Moderate" bugs as well. All told, it probably adds up to 30+ gameplay bugs, plus parity issues, plus countless minor tooltip bugs that exist only because Icefrog sucked at documenting DotA 1 properly on PlayDotA and that carried into DotA 2 when DotA 2 devs used PlayDotA as a reference.
It's actually really funny how many bugs would have been avoided if Icefrog actually maintained PlayDotA somewhat more carefully.

ofc bugs that are severe enough for someone to complain about screwing them over in game will be fixed. Valve is pretty good about sorting out the most glaring issues.

Not particularly, Valve is good at avoiding flak from not fixing bugs but there are quite a few bugs that are pretty game changing. The problem is Valve has such a rabid fan base that they rarely get any real criticism and can more or less do whatever they want without opposition.

Because there are quite a number of tooltip and gameplay bugs that are wrong solely by virtue of matching the PlayDotA tooltip when PlayDotA is incorrect.
Just search the dev forum for the phrase "playdota is wrong" and you get a nice list, lol.
