Invoker in Dota 2 is not hard to play. You can macro every spell to a single key.

Is there some new scam/bots thing going on, or did Malaysians suddenly get access to Dota 2 and are adding top players?

It didnt say what they did (ban / warn ?) or whom they did it too but thats really cool to hear that they actually do something with the reports ;D Reports felt pretty useless in StarCraft 2

People tend to assess heroes primarily on their mechanical difficulty when honestly this is not even necessarily the most difficult aspect of a hero. The truly difficult heroes are the ones that have both incredible room for mechanical skill, while also requiring a deep understanding of the game and of the hero to really master. Invoker has both of these aspects, as the sheer number of ways Invoker can be played and the roles he can perform means that in order to have truly mastered the hero, you have to have an understanding of each one of these and how they could potentially fit into every different game. The flip side of this is a hero like Puck who, while mechanically interesting, has comparatively little variation in role, playstyle, or item selection, and therefore does far less to distinguish players on their understanding of the game.

I don't know how "understanding" of the hero is a skill hard to master. It requires knowledge, you say invoker can be played in many ways and thus there's a lot of adaption required from you depending on the game, sure but that's not really something hard to master. That's just a thing you have to learn over time as you play lots of games of DotA. Mechanical skill is more impressive because there's no real "limit" on it. The number of things Meepo can do compared to other heroes in terms of mechanical skill is unparalleled. Not to mention just as invoker you can play him in different ways depending on the flow of the game. A lot of people think Meepo for example is hard because he's easy to shut down, lots of heroes counter him, it's hard to place him in a team etc, but that's really not the main issue in learning how to play the hero.
