As it stands, Ange/TPL really don't deserve the current shitstorm. There's been a ton of reports of much bigger organizations not paying out in the past (WCS and what not), compared to them TPL actually pays all prizes and pays their casters. We've got confirmation from most of them, all that remains is what looks like a disagreement between TPL and one of their contractors, and Valve pulling their tickets without any public statement of their reasons. | ||

Nothing really changed. Noone said TPL didn't pay anything. The issue was with the values and how TPL supposedly agressivelly dismissed the attempts from the item creator to discover the real numbers, as well as them refusing to use the ingame feature that would automatically give him the money anyway. Maybe I missed something, but the TPL statement doesn't really adress those specific points, and until we get another statement from other sources or from Valve, I don't think we can really tell if there is an issue or not. | ||

The ticket for The Premier League Season IV went up on Dota 2 Store on the 7th of February 2013 but Vidotto immediately noticed that his Steam account was not linked to the ticket. Normally, everybody who has worked on a particular workshop item will have their name posted on the Dota 2 store and have money transferred directly into their bank account with every sale made. "He never added me to the ticket. He gave a lot of excuses, like 'it was illegal to do that,'" said Vidotto. "I started questioning what he was saying because on the first week, he said they made X number of sales and after one month, the number went lower than what it was initially," Vidotto continued. This "strategic" maneuver from Ange means he was already trying to cheat Vidotto for the first time, hiding the real number of sales so he can end up paying Vidotto a lot less than what he is supposed to make. After heavy delays, Vidotto finally got paid, but he was still unsatisfied with not knowing the real sales numbers Maybe Valve knows better since they have the real sales number, maybe they made a poopoo and believed an acusation without checking it's veracity, who knows. But TPL's statement definatelly doesn't adress the main acusation. | ||

This shows 8,657 copies of the item (this is the TPL season 4 item right?) The ticked at the time was sold for $8.99 according to a quick google search. 8 657 * $8,99 = $77 826,43 $77 826,43 * 0,20 = $15 565 Am I'm doing something wrong? Can you get it from any other source or did the guy really got ripped off? | ||
