Is there any pickup/inhouse league thingie for europeans? Sorry if it was already asked, way too many pages here. http://dota2.n-gage.tv/index.php Haven't played it very much, my experience is too limited to say anything really. http://www.iccup.com/en/dota2/ It has, in my opinion, the best client of all the IHL's aswell as excellent match history/stat tracking. Games are hosted on non valve servers, so once a game starts you don't have to host manually, it's all automated. Even though most players are russian speakers, my experience has been quite good, since you can still communicate using basic dota terms. RD is the most popular mode. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=410523 (IXDL-O) CM only (afaik), my general experience with IXDL is that players don't cope very well with being behind / losing. I haven't played that many games so take it with a grain of salt.

How do you guys farm effectively in carries in pub games when the odds are against you? For example, you're in a 2 lane vs 2 lane and your comp gets out harassesd very easily. Normally on heroes that go Battlefury, ring of health helps a lot but what about heroes that don't build into it? Is a casual ring of health/vanguard on a carry something that would actually work in pubs? This happens to me a lot on the rare occasions the team needs a carry, and I really dislike playing carries in pubs because most of the time the team doesn't help accommodate for farm. Something I didn't mention is that iccup is the only league that allows for stacking, so you can play with a friend to make it less volatile. Teambalance games (where you cant stack) get more popular at high ratings tho.

Holy shit for some reason I blank on them every time I play a carry. It makes a lot of sense, too. Thanks, haha.

That lothars going to make the difference this game? Put off drums till after you already have it (providing you dont need drums to, you know, live). Small items are great when you can predict the flow of the game and you need a semi-stable power curve. In pubs you never know if your team is going to start feeding like crazy and you need your first big item immediately. Obviously this theory isnt perfect for every situation, but I find it to be a good default position.
