I only play DotA 2 these days, but even though you can't reach perfection in either game it's quite clear to me that SC 2 is considerably more demanding to achieve anything in. On another note: Jesus fucking christ why is the server even called EU West anymore. Just had a game where every player except me was either eastern european or straight up russian. I'm pretty sure that some Russians are confused by the fact that their country lies both in Europe and Assia so they think it lies in west Europe as well. Honestly i don't really mind who queues on which server as long as they don't queue on a server that lags for them (cause that's the main reason for separate servers i think). The bigger issue for me are people who check english language queue option and use russian language in game. Also to answer your question: server is called EU West because it lies in EU West and gives the best pings for EU West people. | ||

There's a serious flaw in his argument, he says that he won an MLG and thought he was on top of the world. But then when he lost to the Koreans he realized it was so much more difficult. So he's essentially saying that he wouldn't know that it's the hardest without facing the toughest opponents, so why doesn't this apply to other games? Even WC3 where he was a pro player he wasn't a top contender. Did Naniwa have any more of a chance vs Moon in WC3 than he has against Koreans in SC2? Granted there are more Koreans in SC2, but if we're arguing skill level, amount of competition is irrelevant. Let alone games like Dota where he's only played Pub games 7 years ago. I should also add that every single comment on that blog post (in Swedish) are negative towards the post. Which is good, but as I said, Naniwa isn't especially intelligent, he won't be learning anything from that criticism. | ||
