It's hard to say without seeing how things would have played with the aegis intact: I actually liked Orange's draft and I felt that some of their play could have been a little better such as Xtinct playing fairly passive with his epicenters. | ||

I understand this happens because the graph shows gold earned without discounting gold lost on death, buybacks and spent consumables, but it still came to me as a bit of a shock given how much it is used as a metric for casters and spectators to show which way the game is going. Has this been brought up before? It would be so much better to have a "difference in total net worth" graph than a "difference in gold earned". | ||

Liquid, at least in SC2, has always been the sort of team that will stick it out with players and try to make it work. Obviously this mentality is a little bit different in a team-based game like Dota 2, but I don't see any weak links on the team that require replacing. The team did better than I think most people expected in TI3, and should be happy with where they ended up. Obviously winning or placing higher would be better, but I don't think anyone with realistic expectations thought they were going to end up in the top 3. The team has only been together for a little over half a year and placed in the money at The International. You can't really argue with that. They should only get better as long as they stay focused and motivated. Not to mention, who in North America could step in and be better than anyone currently on the team? Unless there are major shake ups with Dignitas/EG, the available player pool is pretty shallow, and to be honest I wouldn't want any of those players on Liquid anyway except for a select few. | ||
