That's not the case with Weaver, she is still a carry, so she is still somewhat in the spotlight, but she is not nearly as dominant as Morph was and she doesn't always have the same role. Did morphling get severely nerfed since then? Or did teams just learn how to play against it? I haven't seen morphling picked more than 1-2 times since I started watching dota. It was nerfed in just about every category. Probably had the biggest nerfs post TI2 for any hero.

We now have the phrase "Get Morphlinged" when something is nerfed into obscurity, or is discussed about doing so. He's picked every once in awhile, but he really isn't anywhere as strong as he used to be.

-Cast animation time increased from 0.3 to 0.45. -Morph manacost increased from 20 to 30 mana per second. -Base damage decreased by 6. -Waveform AoE decreased from 255 to 200. -Waveform no longer allows you to start attacking/casting before it is completed.
I mean seriously. Pls icefrog

Morphling got deleted from dota in the patch after TI2

You have to include the Eblade nerfs too: - Ether Blast manacost increased from 50 to 150

He went down like 15% in pub winrate too. From like 53% due to including mid-low level players to like 38% for a while.

I mean seriously. Pls icefrog hahaha i forgot how brutal it was. Come on, didn't play Dota 2 at the time, even I knew Morphling was super silly. I remember watching TI2 and being like "why is this guy bad? Also why does he not seem to have to walk across the map? And why can he just blow someone up instantly and then maul everyone else"
I also loved the casters at the time "He is morphing strenght as fast as he can!!!!" when it happens at a set rate and requires you to press one button.

Icefrog just nerfed his "mid lane" abilities. Nothing too big, he is still one of the best late game carry. The only difference is that you just can't lane him mid anymore and autowin your lane with 3 rightclick + waveform.

LOL No. His pub winrate is low because people play him wrong.

Feel like the only change that needed to happen was working around morphing while stunned. Maybe make it a slower rate or disable it all together. Don't know why icefrog went and destroyed the hero.

This is a common misconception.

In this truth is Anti-mage one of the best late game carries too?
|
AM is not one of the best late game carry because his ability to carry a game comes from being able to farm his "core items" faster then the enemy carry. AM gets owned by pretty much every other carry if they have equal farm in the late stage of the game.
I don't see what point you are trying to prove.

He was also only picked after he got buffed again.

before you guys start arguing with actual facts and stuff, I think this should be settled 1v1 mid.

How could morph ever outcarry PL ?

Morphling loses to quite a few of 1v1 carries, he doesn't have the teamfight killing abilities a Gyro or Spectre has, His EB loses a decent amount of effectiveness over time, he doesn't have as strong of a steroid skill as some heroes do (even though morph is strong, and replicate is pretty powerful too).
There's a lot of heroes that will beat morph if the game goes long enough.

If Morphling has any AOE support, he can just blast down the illusions and kill PL with his bring right clicks. Plus a farmed morphling goes super fast.

Much like Skytoss is amazing and Raven BC is amazing. But do we ever get their in a normal game.
