So I finally checked out my bloodstone and noticed the text below, "Not Tradeble or Usable in Crafting". For some reason when I first read that, for some reason thee inability to craft using it seemed odd. I mean, we do not have a real crafting system in place (deleting items I do not think counts) so it just seemed odd to mention. Of course it most likely is just a standard disclaimer on the item.

Probably means they're going to, or thinking of, implementing crafting? Doesn't seem that out of place since they have it for TF2

Still, if it did end up coming out, I would like to think that I found evidence for it before its announcement. I checked my items and none of them have the text so trying to think of what other items are unable to be traded to see if they are the same.

I have a question about techies, some people refer to him as a "fun" hero, meaning he is deliberately not balanced or meant for competitive play. Does anyone know if this is actually true? or is he designed like every other hero in that regard. Same way that Huskar isn't balanced for competitive, although Icefrog is trying for Husk. The core mechanics of the hero don't translate well into competitive. He probably could enter competitive with a little work, though. Maybe balance him for jungling, so you can farm up gold for smokes (which let you lay mines without being seen by wards). But for right now, at least, he's terrible in competitive, and almost as bad in pubs. He gets next to no experience if you send him down to lay mines, and he does nothing if you aren't laying mines. With no experience, Techies levels off fast and stops being able to do anything.

I am a complete scrub so perhaps they have more value to me. Also Doom seems built for jungling and I like his style :p. Depends on the guide--the thing about guides is that they are generally fine for lower league but often it is difficult to find a good one since it is so dependent on your match. Hence the suggested items and guides are for the most part adequate to create a foundation of what to do but beyond that, you will have to learn to adapt to the match to figure out should I get X item or Y item. You can also look up guides online, they can help with the base as well and just see what people are suggesting skill wise and work from there.

Except Meepo competitive games are ended pretty much immediately one way or another. Techies in competitive played by a pretty good Techies player means you are forced to literally crawl on the map sweeping mines off of it constantly.

Go to their steam profile and then click on guides. You have to know somebody who made builds for all the heroes though.

And fun stuff like Toss-Suicide makes DOTA way more interesting. You would be extremely scared when a techie starts running at you OR walking anywhere without vision, especially wards/secret shop/ entrances from rivers/towers. I remember forming the habit of buying stuff from the techie's secret shop instead of my own, because I was scared of mines, and techies rarely mine their own secret shop. Illusion runes are best vs Techie. Use the illusions to run about and clear the minefields.

And a bit of medieval sieges too. techies can plant mines on a tower, which will do *full damage* on towers. Since mines do 600 damage this is pretty hardcore. Also more suicide than usually with techies. And nothing is crazier than blink dagger suicide techies. Who needs help anyway?
