and now that i look at their tutorial plans, Valve is going for real to release the game before TI3. Why not i guess, to maximize their promotion of the game with TI3, as soon as the tutorials are ready to go.

If they do it right they could get such a huge amount of new players, and with a good tutorial most of them might stick around.

I don't think it's a big deal that it doesn't work on higher levels and that it's generally bad, you just want to introduce the players to the game. Mid sniper is something they will deal with, so why not use it in the tutorial? I think it's more like this is a quick way to do the old lh training 10 min, no items, no skills, sniper solo mid.

TA, Puck, Qop are all not very "straightforward" and many, many others that would be good to learn it also don't see mid often in an actual game (melees are out of the question anyway imho). I would probably have picked Viper for a mid tutorial.

Or Meepo? yeah good old Meepo ![]() The first hero I ever played was Venge years and years ago, she is pretty straight forward. Luna is a good starter hero (not too complicated) as well

I was thinking last night and I came up with an idea. What if Valve could implement some kind of system that increased the chance to queue you with people from the same country, so even if russians queued on US W for example, they'd get an all russian game. This might work much better after the game is released and there are a lot of players online, so there shouldn't be a huge skill disparity between players. What do you think about this?

Wouldn't expect anything less with what Nexon/Valve are doing for Korea. Will be excellent for the scene just to have such an established organisation (I think they're big in LoL too?) with a dota2 representation

You have a strength hero, not dependant on wards, that can push the lane to get the rune.
