He just tried to confuse you lol. Smartcasting is just simply that spells will be casted at the place/heroes/creeps your mouse is hovering when you click QWER. In some cases it will be quite strong, take Tiny blink combo for example: manual cast: hovering to target -> AltQ(blink) -> left click -> Q -> left click -> W -> left click (->AltW for dagon -> left click) smart cast: hovering to target -> AltQ Q W(AltW) You have to play around with it to get used to it. I was skeptical when trying out smartcasting in LoL, but now I'm loving it. It actually increase my accuracy contrary to some people say. Another thing is the spell is executed when you lift your finger off the key, not when you click it. So you can press the key down, hover your mouse anywhere you want for accuracy, but as long as you hold on the to key, the spells won't be casted. Overall, smartcasting is just one of the feature that cater for another group of people. It's not gonna affect world peace or something. If you like it, you use it, if not that is fine. Features are not supposed to affect game balance, and I don't think smartcast will.

Rumor is Mitch and twista are getting cut / leaving.

No I understood what he said but I really wouldn't want anything like roar or magic missile to be on this quick casting. Maybe things like breathe fire and shockwave would be cool, but spells where you have to click the target I can't imagine it being any easier.

Challenge 1v1 invoker vs invoker mid for worst invoker of the west.

You'll be up in 1v1 situations a lot more in lower levels than higher, and cold snap + forge spirit chainstun is extremely potent against people who underestimate it, altough it delivers less in teamfight than what pure exort builds does. (and even less than wex quas builds of course, but those are pretty impossible to lane with any more)

I mean, it depends on how noob you are. If you are having trouble casting coldsnap and Forge Spirits, you probably should play some bot games. Signed, 36% win rate Invoker player.
