follow:

it regularly posts updates of games about to happen (and that have happened)
then search in game via community -> pro team list to find a profile from someone involved in the game. and watch off them.

Can also watch streams on yy.com. There's often at least one CDEC player streaming (longdd, zexbingo, etc.).

its quite clear that the state of sc2 in korea has been worsen gradually since Kespa switched to sc2. Most of the things you heard from people there are already censored/lighten to a certain extent since their career depends on your support and no one want to support a dead game. If you cant tell from the past, tastosis start casting/playing WoT should be able to tell the story clear enough.
what is putting me in wonder is with 1.7 mil, Nexon could pretty much top out Riot in the domestic scene money power. So they do have the position to pick which broadcaster company to go for etc... Given the production level in China, im really curious what kinda quality should we be expecting in the next few weeks.

Then people could sub to the chat channel and we could use it while watching ingame. Wat u think?

Wasn't it mostly positive I haven't followed sc2 lately + Show Spoiler +Blizzard is pretty much backing OGN for the TV exposure now instead of GOM. IMO not surprising. OGN is on TV, good production while GOM isn't on TV but does have good production. OGN level production? I don't know. If you want people to watch your game, the obvious choice is OGN in Korea. there are up and down side. GOM caters the world audience much better than OGN meanwhile OGN is much more loved in Korea. Obviously the big target overall is still the world audience and GSL title worth much more world wide compare to OSL/MSL right now, the decision of blizzard to backing OGN instead of GOM do no good but harm the pro scene overall. If GOM end up dropping sc2 completely one day, ESF will die with them and everything will go back to Kespa format, the global view into the Korean scene will also be hurt. tbh, i think picking up world of tank and DotA2 is incredibly smart move from GOM. It put pressure back on Blizzard on their value plus giving them good back up plan. GOM has always been the one that pick up new contents first in the Korean scene so we will see how this turn out compare to LoL on OGN. My point of view is the opposite.
Sustainability is the highest priority. Particularly given that Valve has shown to be more hands-off when managing tournaments than Riot or Blizzard. This means that it's not international viewership that Nexon should be concerned with when selecting their broadcast platform. Local viewership is of prime importance because it's what gets sponsors.
IMO if DotA 2 doesn't find its way onto OGN, it doesn't have a competitive future in Korea, and Koreans I've talked to share this opinion. The market is too crowded in Korea, especially if this standalone Chaos game actually becomes something (for those that don't know, Chaos was actually the dominant AoS map for WC3 in Korea, not DotA). GOM simply isn't good enough or popular enough to keep competitive DotA 2 alive on its own in Korea.

Yango i disagree. I don't think dota 2 needs to be on OGN. it needs to be in the PC bangs more. If Dota is equal to LoL in the PC bangs it'll be fine.

However the 1.7 mil did blown me away together with my previous doubts.
Notice that there is no way these money coming from Valve. To valve Korea is not that main target market to invest more than what they are having for The International. These money is coming from nexon, a veteran player on the block who know the market well and willing to invest. We are looking at a completely different story since Nexon IS the new Riot/Blizzard.
edit: new CDEC game is up, trace the LGD.cn #1 player.

Dota should have BOTH if you could choose, not just one. PC Bangs make it available to play. OGN makes it available to watch and participate.
Just because the game is on PC Bangs doesn't mean people will play it. They might try it, but if you watch a game that might interest you, that makes you try the game anyway. PC Bangs, does help here obviously.

SC2 isn't neccesarily ''dying''(it was never big in the first place) in Korea, GOM/GOM's SC2 is.

If anything, the wcs number clearly prove that artosis solo casting brought roughly the same number as OGN expensive production. If GOM.sc2 fail, it will subsequently create a domino effect which can only be good for LoL, WoT and DotA2 in term of market share. At this point, i rather watch Tastosis cast WoT than listening to snm+whipsplash casting PL(i personally like both of those guys as TL-ers) and im pretty sure a lot of others would agree.

my opinion as an international viewer on OGN: OGN production of the international stream is total garbage and has always been. OSL is unwatchable with those casters and the production value doesn't even exist. WCS (the WORLD FINALS) on OGN was trash as well, even though they got Day[9] and Apollo. the local WCS Korea produced by GOM was vastly superior.

The guys are the dev forums are going ape shit over quick casting. Why is is such a big deal again?
|
because it's too similar to LoL? are they raging about the 'Care' ping too?

All the posters of dev forums are trolls or retards. The trolly ones do most of the legit testing in their free time

It would be neat if Valve would implement the option to use smart casting just for some abilities. I would totally use it for SD poison, or wave of terror, for example. But like for magic missile it seems it would make you miss very often.

I'm not sure if you know, but anyone feel free to answer.
With that new ping, do you have to just press Ctrl and click, or CTRL + Alt and then click ?
