I'm pretty sure the audio is a LOT more data than the replays themselves. Hopefully Valve has some ideas for only downloading selected audio because I think it's rare that people will listen to commentary in every language. Well, I just downloaded another replay from the Raidcall series (Navi vs VP game 2, pretty epic btw) and the replay file is approx. 100meg. This one took even longer to download, nearly 10 minutes. With a 50mbit connection this should take more like 20-30 seconds. My guess would be that they're just not allocating enough server bandwith to downloading replays. (unless the audio tracks are a) seperate files stored in a different location and b) huge)

Please stop calling quickcast "smartcast", smartcast is a totally different thing. I have never understood why dota uses approximately 9000 times more bandwidth than sc2. It's really frustrating for those of us who live in countries with useless internet and actually care about download limits. I can play sc2 smoothly on 64kbps ffs.

You blink maybe .1 second faster but it reduces your accuracy by a shitload. RP is instant once you hit r anyways, there's no second click.

They blink and skewer in the wrong direction because they spam it too fast.

It will have a slight impact due to Blink being instant, but still very little of what actually makes Blink-Skewering hard is made easier. not to mention you still have to move the mouse to where you want to skewer toward.

Tastetorsist were doing a dual stream world of tank this morning. Notice it was multiplayer and tasteless has NEVER streaming himself playing a multiplayer game. What do you mean by WCS treatment? Wasn't it mostly positive I haven't followed sc2 lately

OGN is on TV, good production while GOM isn't on TV but does have good production. OGN level production? I don't know. If you want people to watch your game, the obvious choice is OGN in Korea.

Obviously the big target overall is still the world audience and GSL title worth much more world wide compare to OSL/MSL right now, the decision of blizzard to backing OGN instead of GOM do no good but harm the pro scene overall. If GOM end up dropping sc2 completely one day, ESF will die with them and everything will go back to Kespa format, the global view into the Korean scene will also be hurt. tbh, i think picking up world of tank and DotA2 is incredibly smart move from GOM. It put pressure back on Blizzard on their value plus giving them good back up plan. GOM has always been the one that pick up new contents first in the Korean scene so we will see how this turn out compare to LoL on OGN.

Dota2 on GOM would be great. especially if they bring known english casters to korea like in sc2. I don't think OGN could host a Dota 2 tournament anyway if they want to continue with LoL given the history of tencent and their exclusivity deals.

Of course, GOM has done excellent and even better job overall (for international and Korean fans) and i'm sure they would take International viewership into consideration. Bringing in known casters (or English casters at least) as Fleeze above did mention.

Don't think I'll use the Quick Cast option, although It's nice it's there for people who do want to use it.
