Well the other thing is that Blink Strike's IAS and her crit heavily favor raw damage items over items that give a split of attack speed and damage (conventional agility items). Consider the "big" raw damage item options: - Daedalus - MKB - Deso - Abyssal - Radiance - Rapier
Daedalus is redundant because of crit, Deso is situationally OK but takes up your orb slot which you typically really want for Lifesteal, Radiance has no special interactions with PA and has awful buildup, and Rapier entails all the normal risks of Rapier (and is overkill for the majority of the game with regard to crits). That leaves Abyssal and MKB, and when Evasion isn't relevant yet, that comparison will probably favor Abyssal. Basher is just your buildup to getting there.

What about the pub alltime favorite bfury on pa?
|
There was a popular pub build for awhile that was like...
drums -> vlads -> deso
or something like that.
I remember seeing it quite a bit for awhile. Whenever I random PA I just copy Lod[A] build for the most part these days.

Yea it is great, makes you farm faster than AM
|
What is the Lod[A] PA build? I still like the Beesa Build which was Vanguard, Aquila, Basher, Cryst, Abyssal.
|
On PA I used to go HotD bfury satanic or something along those lines. Probably terrible but that was the standard mortred build back in the day
|
Well, if you were going for a timing window type build then deso + vlads is pretty sick but the fact that vlads doesn't build into satanic for late game is very very big on PA (although her strength growth really isn't the worst, she desperately needs something more than just BKB since sub-2K hp isn't really cutting it).
EDIT: actually, with basher BKB and lvl 25 PA is right at 2K hp. Maybe that is enough with vlad's lifesteal to not need satanic? unsure. Deso seems really powerful on PA, thats for sure.

Loda usually* goes;
phase, drums, hotd, basher, bkb, mkb/satanic/abyssal/end game stuff.
BKB and Basher timing/order depends on how game is going for him.

Usually immediate followup to Drums is HotD+BKB, but I feel the HotD is less compelling in a pub game, because Alliance clears the ancient stack with more than just 1 hero (and often with some supporting clearing power like an Empower on PA). You may not be able to get that much help in a normal pub game and without help, PA doesn't clear ancients quickly/efficiently (especially since you can't use Blink Strike on most Ancients).

As Yango pointed out loda PA is almost always accompanied by a magnus pick. I'm honestly not sure if alliance has ever picked PA without securing the Mag first.
The empower helps loda farm must faster than your typical PA without having to sink $$ into a battle fury.

Even ignoring the cleave/farming power, a % damage buff on a hero that wants flat damage so badly and who has the second highest Agi gain in the game is just a good match.
BFury is situationally ok/necessary, it's just that it has rather slow development. PA's early combat power is quite good with the right items, whereas BFury delays your combat strength to the point of BFury+BKB, so you really have to be sure that kind of delay is called for.

People got farming items on carries because games just farmed out like that.
Nowadays the pace of the game is so fast that even a casual Yasha is considered a farming item and not a combat item.

They did at Gleague when they got wisp. Their carry choice wasn't really an impact on the game though.

Here we are discussing PA builds, where is Shikyo to provide wisdom?
|
my PA build often involve going HotD, get a creep to tank rosh, then disassemble for vlad and armlet. Personally i find armlet is really useful and get it instead of BKB to save the charges for late game.
|
Score of Mouz within the last 20 matches: 19-1. Making me so happy :D
|
I think vlads is better than hotd in pubs tbh for pa Either way PA is pretty beast at sneaking roshan solo,vlads,hotd or basher will do it

Saving charges is also looking to be a bigger deal come 6.78 parity.
