Anyway, I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm getting the feeling that Tobi isn't as big of a personal draw and the production gap is hurting. I'll bring graphs next time. | ||

With SL I can see TD getting superior numbers if its the same unknown teams but I don't see it happening to D2l because the teams in D2l are simply of a much higher average skill and it is being played in a bo3 format.(yes I know the stream quality sucks) | ||

IMO, TD is the biggest online tournament that's run in the West that isn't related to The International or qualifiers to some Chinese tourney. | ||

And the defense also has qualifiers which is a big plus in my book considering that most tournaments are invitational ( stupidest thing ever imho ). | ||

You can have a qualifier without ending up like Defense where you get tons of stomps. You just have to get less teams. If you only have 1-2 amateur teams there's an actual story there. If there's like 8, then it's just annoying. | ||

Open qualifiers can be annoying to run and the rewards in a game like Dota are ussually very little when compared to the time and effort wasted. | ||
