This is probably partially attributable to the fact that their strengths as a team tend to be the ones that stand out more (strong teamplay, methodical execution), and their weaknesses tend to be the ones that spectators can often ignore (weak item choice, inconsistent sense of gameflow, particularly in long games). Everybody agree now that there is a problem? I said "I told you guys that there is a problem" and everybody just kept quiet. If there's one fault I have with Chuan's attitude, its that I've seen him adopt this "I told you so" attitude on multiple occasions with regard to the team's mistakes. Even if he's right, I don't think it's a good way of approaching issues, because it puts people on the defensive. He spoke like this in interviews post-TI2 about iG's losses there as well. I dont even that I uh ?????????? that's like people listing off why Lifestealer is broken and listing literally every single one of his skills along with his base stats. He wasn't OP before this and once he gets minor nerfs (probably to open wounds initial slow so it's not as much of a one-point-wonder, to rage mana cost making it scale with levels, or to his base movement speed by like 5 points) he'll be a fine hero. it's just so temporally based that it's silly. DK put on a sub-par show at G-1 and iG put on a bad show at G-1 and suddenly they're worse than aL or someshit like that. Na'Vi have been in the same slump (probably worse) and instead everyone makes excuses for them, saying they always get back into form at LAN or when they bootcamp. It's just so silly. People want to devalue teams they don't like (i.e., successful ones that aren't their own team) and make excuses for their own team(s). | ||

So why do people care about it in the first place? People like inhouse leagues like IXDL because people actually play dota the way its meant to be played. What I mean is people actually play supports, they get support items on supports, and people tri lane so you can gain experience playing in those. Also, it's captains mode which is more fun than all pick. I am in the top of very high que and people still don't understand how to pull or play a support in general. And I don't feel like playing support all game for terrible players. | ||

Alliance went 7-0, and the chinese teams couldn't even beat them. Western teams, however, have beaten alliance before in the past. Therefore Western teams > china. I'm getting PL just thinking about it. | ||
