Basically, if you throw as much as possible when realize that you have competent teammates and play normally otherwise you will obtain the WINRATEDBRTMESPORTSPOINTSELO required for IXDL wait what? I dont get the Valve mmr part. What does it has to do with ixdl? They have a silly requirement that you need a 55% winrate on matchamking to get into IXDL That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Winratio has absolutely nothing to do with mmr. You can have a verry high (as in an actually very high, not the bracket "very high") mmr, and still only 50%, or even below. It all depends on which matches you win and lose, and not directly how many. Look at Firebolt145 for example. Firebolt was vouched into IXDL due to recognition of his pro skills by known players despite a 48% winrate on ladder Thus showing how silly the requirement is...

Don't forget that in my first and only ixdl game I went on to save ixmike from certain death and also become EE-approved(tm). All on stream too.

The standards for getting into IXDL are pretty stupid. The whole vouch thing is dumb because people just vouch their horrible friends. I know tons of people who are vouched and aren't even page 1-10 players. And the 55% thing is dumb because of the massive amount of guys with 200 game smurfs that have 55%, which isn't very impressive.

Exctly this. A much smarter system would be a minimum game count (not stupidly high, just to stop smurfs. maybe 1000?), a certain number of games in very high bracket, and common sense.
Vouching is about the most abusable system there is, and 55% winratio doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Technically the 55% winratio only becomes valid if you have 200 minimum games, so that loophole is already plugged.

Ideally when you have two leagues one open, one invite only, you mandate players to compete in the open league and those at the top 10% of the league at the end of the season get invited into the invite league. so that the only way to get into the league is to be invited by the founder (ONLY) or place in top 10% of open league.

ded league ded game
there probably isnt any one system that isnt open to abuse of some kind

Inhouse leagues like IXDL have a very limited and specific lifespan.
Starts off great, then goes to shit, like every inhouse league in existence.
Case in point, do people even remember c9dl anymore?

there probably isnt any one system that isnt open to abuse of some kind yeah you have to maintain a base in the open league. which is moderately difficult to do. but with valve API you can probably just auto make the stats for a site and do everything like that (mandating you allow the API gathering to be in the league).
most open leagues go to hell eventually, but winning consistently gets you out of that hell and into the invite league.

maybe this new guild system will help ihs be a bit more...substantive? not sure though
still i think we all have to give mike props for putting in the work to the client, site and league itself

What's so special about the IXDL? People post about wanting to be in it and then others post about it being pointless. So why do people care about it in the first place?
