And fear wasn't on a stream with 40,000 people, not really relevant. honestly, loda needs to suck it up. In an professional broadcast of a sporting event, its not uncommon for the broadcaster to critique or talk about some bad decisions a player made in a game in the same level as Aui's "criticism". Nothing Aui said was out of the question or out of place.
its worse if he didn't even watch the game in question to legitimately point out Aui's comments. That's just called being over defensive / sensitive with no legitimacy.
He has no right to complain in public if he doesn't take the time to see what he's complaining about.

You can't go as far as using personal insults and tell players to get a life, but not accepting any kind of critics from other pros is absurd.

Aui isn't a good caster simply because he's a debbie downer. Look at the context - you've got a huge hyped match and he just focuses on small mistakes that the carry makes and item choices. Things that a lot of people just don't want to focus on at the moment unless it's REALLY critical, but when he says stuff like a player should go skadi on spectre instead of other critical items which are PERFECTLY viable in that situation because its his opinion? That's just information that doesn't need to be heard at that time. It's like he takes his opportunity to cast and uses it as his podium to preach.

I've never heard a professional sports broadcast with more criticism of the winner than the loser by a factor of 10.
I think Loda is perfectly within his right to complain. I think Aui needs to work on being too petty, not because pro players will complain, but because it's a bad viewing experience.

You make it seem like he was bashing on loda - he was mentioning a few things FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS of things loda could have done better.

it's what he cares about, this little things about carry players, so he talked about them. It's not a good idea for casters, and that's why he isn't a caster, but that's pretty far from saying he lacked respect towards Loda and that Aui was arrogant. He never said he is better than Loda or that he doesn't make mistakes.

Drums Vs Yasha is a pretty simple discussion imo
If you're doing nothing but farming, Yasha is superior, as you farm faster with it while still building into a combat-ready build relatively fast, as while as boosting farming/damage rate of illusions because they move faster and do more damage
Radiance would make you farm even faster, but it takes longer to get combat ready with a radiance build, and radiance isn't the most optimal item on PL anyways because the +60 doesn't transfer over to illusions
Drums doesn't make you farm as fast, but its much more stable, makes you tankier, faster, gives you more mana to maybe get off that dopple you need to escape, ect.. Its a very safe choice, and since on PL you're almost always going to be pressured nowdays, its usually picked up to make sure you can survive and farm and -get- to that fully combat ready status, while Yasha style PL is more about getting to that combat status faster, at the expense of not being able to do it safely

There are ways to point out mistakes without sounding like "I would have played this better," winter is the perfect example. I don't think that was done in this case.
And to reiterate. I think Aui is a good caster, but complaints about those casts are perfectly valid. It was too much and not in the right tone. And I don't think he should change because pro players will complain, but because it could have been a better cast for viewers.

You're only crushing one of the best teams in the world at a highly prestigious LAN event, so I am going to talk half the game about how your item choice could've been slightly better. - Aui_2000
Ya man totally cannot see how this might upset someone. Pretty sure if you were apart of the first western team to win a Chinese tournament you would be pretty ticked off if a player who's never placed in the money at a LAN event is bashing your item choice the whole game.

To be honest, unless a caster was insulting my family, I wouldn't give a fuck what a caster said. I would be a professional, I wouldn't call someone out on twitter in an aggressive matter.
particularly if no one was taking about it (except my GF), and the criticism barely existed for more than a few seconds of the game, and I didn't even hear it myself

You don't need to be high prize winning legendary player to point out someones mistakes. Winning one of the best teams in the world on LAN doesn't mean you don't do mistakes or don't use sub-optimal builds. If your EGO is not gigantic you will understand this and will ignore this criticizm, because you will not care about what some random never-placed-in-the-money-at-LAN-guy says on stream.

Anyway I've got nothing more to say on this conversation.

Loda's PL wasn't even that impressive anyways, he didn't even macro his illusions that well, let alone micro. Like, it didn't really matter in that game, but there are games where doing that macro/micro work on Pl illusions can win you the game

lol what, aui 'criticized' loda's spec should get skadi? That is just his personal opinion on that and shouldn't be taken serious at all. Late game spec without heart is just a joke. Look at what he did in his 4v5 game today, game was dragged out to 58mins because the spec had 170dmg with manta+skadi and then he bought a heart (and then a bfly).
Sometimes i really don't understand what is aui up to. As if he was using his 'pro status' to prove something else to the world (which usually failed or irked people) while armlet bear is one of many 'weird' builds that he did and become popular later but he wasn't the first one who did it anyway.

Aui does disagree with everything though (mainly because he has a lot of non-traditional build, but I'd hardly call yasha vs drums that)

The complaints are about the PL game, where he kept pointing a lot of little things Loda could have done better to farm faster/end the game earlier. If was far more mild that what I've heard several other casters say.
Aren't chinese and russian casters known for trash talking players and builds and people like them for it? I don't think you should go that far, but it's silly to focus that much on Aui when he barely said anything meaningful and was never rude about it. The game just had a lot of downtime and he filled it by saying what he felt Loda could do better. Not the best idea but not the travesty some people accuse him of.

There's a difference between pointing out a mistake and essentially saying "wow, I would have played this so much better!" Essentially what Aui was doing that game. He gave his input on how he would do things differently that it just made him seem really condescending towards loda's play. Even his tone of voice sometimes. It wasn't comparable to anything else other casters have done.
Imagine watching a basketball game and you have a former pro saying "I would have done this this and this instead of what they did". It's essentially looking down on the players in the game right now and saying you're better than them.
It's the fact that he puts HIMSELF in there. If he pointed out the mistake and just left it that it would be no big deal.
