BTW placing the top Chinese teams on a (modest) pedestal is fine with me. But placing SEA teams on that pedestal with them is not. These teams are as inconsistent as most Western top teams. TL choked earlier today against Na'vi pretty bad >.>

I dare say this, I expect Fnatic to place top-6 this tournament if they play everything right. Huh? Fnatic is one of the weakest if not the weakest team going into TI3.
Yeah, but it's not exactly surprising that they fell off with Fly gone training so often. I think with him back and them going to bootcamp for awhile they'll be able to pull off a good performance.

Then why does every TL game that gets to the point where one team is trying to break base turn into this awful mess where teams just throw back and forth.

4 is the support that needs like a blink dagger to do shit while 5 will have like boots wand and wards in midgame.

Some are like Visage, who just build all sorts of goodies

It's just an example lol. More generally the 4 will be able to impact the game meaningfully with an item timing (chen 8-12 min mek, sk blink, etc.) while similar items on the 5 are not as necessary.

5 is the role for true men

5 sucks unless you're Faith.

The worst feeling ever is when you play an amazing game with 5, and your carry brags about his gpm/kda, when in reality you are basically the reason he was able to do that.
edit: Except every time I carry and have sick gpm I usually brag as well... maybe I should stop that rofl

I am overwhelmed by your endless arguments while I can give you around 10 times more simple mistakes that was done by western teams. Western teams spend most of the year by disbanding, roster changing etc.. Also loseing one game-series doesn't make your bad. Otherwise all western teams are shit because they constantly beat another or by other below their tier teams.
Chinese dota is much more solid and stable than western dota and different from TI2, they know how western teams play. Let's continue this discussion after TI3 after Eastern teams dominate the tourney. Go and live with your western hype.

Its a testament to the fact that the western scene as a whole is stronger with teams being able to take games or series off of another at any given time, every match is more intersting

He didn't once say in that post that Western teams were going to beat Eastern teams? He was just making a point that Chinese teams do in fact make mistakes, and are nowhere near perfect. Unless he's said these things on a different occasion? If so then my bad.

PUB experience: I myself mostly play 1 or then 4/5 pos (or Krobelus mid :p), I'm sure as hell not a truly good carry or support... And seriously, there are just as many horrible supports as there are carries... If not more. While the carries role is obvious the one of the support, for many, isn't. For one decent (or better) support there are several that do one or more of the following things:
1: Not warding with an excuse like: "I already bought chicken/flying."... While they are sitting at over 1000 gold and the enemy Pudge just went beyond Godlike... 2: Accidentally pushing your lane/breaking up the stall instead of harassing the offlaner or stacking creeps.... (But well, I don't really blame them for that, most carries seem to not even try to truely stall the lane...) 3: Single pulling all the time which is downright sabotage. 4: Actively trying to lasthit (well most of these seem to have died out or are in lower MMR's). 5: Never ever deward or buy dust.
And you know what? They mostly don't get much shit for it (aside from not warding), it's often the carry that gets the blame for having no farm at 25+ minutes...
I actually think after your over the MMR where people actually "kinda" understand that a support does not get/need much farm they have nearly a free pass to do bullshit... Only if there are no wards/flying i see a support getting called out.

Is there like any good way to judge your dota 2 skill except the stupid normal/high/very high option in replay search or by obsing yoruself and saying well I think i´m that good?

If you're sharing your matchmaking history, you could go on dotabuff and check your win ratio. If you have over a few hundred games and still have 55%+, you're probably quite awesome. Doesn't tell you much more than that though since you have no idea where in the spectrum you are if you are close to 50%.
