Like, the whole idea behind trying to counter a support is evidence for how OP/strong that support is. Well Nyx can pretty much solo any support if he is catches them alone and off guard. You could argue a disable-heavy support can even hold Nyx pinned down till help arrives if the Nyx player makes a mistake. Hexing a Nyx that is out of position is worth it imo, the amount of pain he can cause if he is NOT in the middle of the fight to Carapace off random attacks/aoe is severely reduced. Also about shackle, it has a positional requirement and is not instant. Nothing beats a reliable point and click disable. Still I do believe Nyx is at least partially suffering from the Lycan syndrome. People ban him so much because they don't want to bother finding ways to lower his impact on the game. It is also more than likely that the Asian scene will figure him out as the Western teams are not really known for innovating. | ||

Basically everything was screwed from the get go, our sniper even 40mins in had like, treads and a deso. just zero farm and a lot of deaths. our lane;s were off, we had no real carry. I swear I was playing FTFC because the enemy team got to all of our T3 towers, destroyed our mid tower and then we wiped them on the rax, pushed up mid, and throned. After getting our asses handed to us every fight, to wipe them last second and push all the way through mid. Ladies and Gentlemen, Dota. | ||

So as the balance goes, spec cannot get a buff treatment like PL. Quite similar to the case of Medu, they simply dont belong to this era of dota Hope for some tweak on spec's dagger or desolation. | ||

Also "rune control" is only used in a real match where you have supports checking for runes&ganking...in 1vs1 it just makes the match-up luck based like Fistful of Tangoes demonstrated a few times. | ||

Spec doesn't farm as well and currently doesn't have the same itemisation that allows PL to join the fights early. PL is strong currently because he can fight early and still be a late game boss. If spec could do the same then she would be viable. In fact every carry you play has to come online in mid game to an extent or you just lose the game. PL also has a far better laning phase than Spec. I think if they changed dagger into something more usable then spec might see play again, currently she lacks a bit too much. | ||
