I think it's arguable that the new skill is better.
For competitive viability I think the old skill is better. Because you didn't have to be close to them and you could spam it forever. He also used to get movement speed from his ulti so the slow wasn't as valuable.
The new skill makes him a much more interesting hero though.

It has certain aspects in which it is better than the new Melee Aoe.

Seriously, this needs to be exploited somehow. Every 20 seconds, all allied heroes get double mjollnir worth of attack speed for 10 seconds. There's just so much potential for broken all aura strats now.

Old blind was absolutely terrible, it was completely and utterly useless lategame because every carry hero in the game gets either bkb or manta. Earlygame it only served to annoy people you were laning against by making them miss lasthits, 90% of the time with old troll I'd jungle and skip blind for stats.

It is pretty bad, yeah. I just want to make it happen, ok? Before the current ult, I think it worked like twice as long on him, than on other heroes.
I really don't know where he could fit.
