Not a huge difference though. Went from 3 min to 4-6 min now. I only queue for USWest btw. I queue USW too AUSSIES COME BACK
I really do miss the Aussie players. Getting paired with Aussies has dramatically improved my solo queue experience in Dota 2. They're all so well mannered and understand the game to a respectable level.
I live in Hawaii, so I thought I could play on their servers like I could do in US West, but the lag is pretty bad in comparison. Constant 220 ping with a lag spike every 5 min or so. I deal with 120ms in US West and thats about the borderline playability for me.

nadota is a reliable source of information. i'm not saying that it's false though.

If Obama choose to announce the next petroleum war on 4chan, the credibility of 4chan has no relevance as it's Obama who talks.
Anyway, I don't see any potential drama in this, I hope their new team will work better.

The experience must've been nice for those guys. Getting picked up by a big name and getting the chance to prove yourselves. Sadly they didn't get any notable results, they can't be surprised it had to end. Chances of them getting picked up again after trying to kick up a shitstorm are low...

I don't get why people on my team keep going Medusa mid. How is putting one of the hardest carries in the game mid a smart idea? =/
Or is my understanding of the role of mid just wrong?

Or is my understanding of the role of mid just wrong? You can put a carry mid. There are many ways to play. Medusa mid is not the worst, her nuke is pretty good and can keep some good harass/control up.

True, I guess I've had bad luck when people decide to do that. That game my team last picked two hard carries (Medusa and Skeleton King) and then everyone else were supports, leaving us with odd lanes while the opponents picked strong midgame heroes.

Wow, husky's dota vid is hilarious. Lion rushing dagon 5, bahahaha.

Granted, this put's everything in a bit of a weird place - controlling the game from mid is quite easy due to runes/the all the lanes being so easily accesible, but it's not all bad; putting a carry mid, that is.
AM mid used to be decently popular. You can win/get decent farm in quite a few matchups and it frees up the lanes.

I am watching admiral bulldog's stream and i was wondering how he can show the names of the players on the minimap?

I can't get this picture out of my head where Obama posts a lolcat picture with 'Gentleman, we're going to War, L o L'

Anyone has any explanations on this?
https://dotabuff.com/matches/97664032
I found that guy from the dotabuff forum, he/she created a new account and in 16th game he played with LGD.Pajkatt.int verified. Either the system is so good detecting the level of the players, or just too random I couldn't decide.
But what I understand is, having a bad day while playing lets say 10 games would ruin your MMR or vice versa.

I have had this too. I know it's not unheard of, but to me it's more of a solution when you lack all of the usual suspects for mid. The feeling I have gotten a few games is that people consider her a mid hero. I had one game where I was panda, and there was a storm on our team, where the medusa just said "I guess I go mid then?" and went mid. I brought up the argument that storm was probably the better candidate, but no one else had an opinion on the matter and acted like it was normal. Our lineup was panda, medusa, storm, wisp, bane. I've had a couple other games where I've gotten the same vibe, but where the alternative wasn't as clear cut.

Although this prob for the simple question thread:
Option/Game/Interface--Minimap options below.
Another neat change is the option to stop the camera from automoving. It is handy just to go through all the options (and there is always the ~console options too)
So I started using another smurf account and decided to main Meepo on it. Such an odd hero that I have issues playing correctly. I dropped myself down to lowest brackets (when choosing skill) and one game I did fine, another I fed... and last game I went 26/8/12. I find myself either doing pretty well (since against bad players) or I cannot get the farm and become utterly useless.
12/4/3 9/0/3/ 1/10/7
Those so far are me games... if any other hero would walk over the players since some are so bad but Meepo can be such a pain. Anyway, wish me luck!
Edit:

To a degree it is good at picking up people's smurf accounts. People can be carried into higher brackets; I have heard of people getting into pretty much Very High within a few games. Many variables go into it so cannot say for certain. Sometimes the MMR works well, other times it pulls a Tivo and does some idiotic things.

Pajkatt probably queued up with some of those people, both teams have odd number of wins on their players.

It took me about 6 matches to go from "beginner" -> very high on a smurf (I was going to teach a friend, I don't smurf to stomp beginners). Afaik the first 10 matches played on an account determines a lot more in your MMR than the matches after that. It's to prevent smurfing.
