It's mostly player skill, but ice vortex has a very long range, so with it you can definitely land a seed and the combination of slow will guarantee some auto attacks on anyone that doesn't have escape mechanism.
Point of my post is not like I discovered some extremely powerful lane combo that has pro game potential, but a nice combo for pub fun that's very unique and actually works.

EDIT: And if he has no idea what Cold Feet does, then ranks in Cold Feet are going to do more than ranks in Chilling Touch, seeing as he's probably going to eat the stun every time. ??? Do you mean AA? Because Lich doesn't have Cold Feet or Chilling Touch.
edit: nvm lol. Didn't read the post before, saying AA was treants lane partner. I thought you were saying Lich could use cold feet and chilling touch to escape treant, and I was thinking, wut?

my favorite treant lane was always the Vengeful Treant lane. when they hit 6 you just let someone else on your team farm the lane and go roaming duo gank squad, i guess its probably better now than then even since leech seed didn't even exist then, and treant had less base damage.

Ok, so you're using Chilling Touch+Ice Vortex and not Cold Feet at all? Even more questionable whether Lich actually dies to that at all unless he starts out standing in your face (which I guess is possible with Nature's Guise against really bad players) or is mentally impaired.
24% slow for 3 seconds + 18% slow for however long he stands inside Vortex on a 315 base MS hero vs. 30% slow for 4 seconds on a 300 base MS hero (unless of course the Lich is too stupid to turn and Nova the tree). Not exactly a guarantee that you get to close to melee range and attack enough times to kill him.

My team is having really strong games with AA+Visage+carry trilanes, Sven, gyro, luna and naga mainly. Everyone should give it a try, don't have to go aggressive, having those supports pulling isn't really that bad. I recommend banning kotl if you are to draft like this and make sure you have a mid/sidelane that can do some dmg also.

Try sven/DK/CK as the carry, with an unrealiable stun, like AA or leshrac, and chen as the third. He can get creeps from the enemy jungle and use them to great effect, not to mention run off and be useful if the enemy decide its not worth trying and either abandons or more likely stay well behind the tower (and even then you can tower dive quite effectively by sending in the creep first).

For some reason, people don't like practicing with him (probably because they feel so bad when they start out, and its intimidating).
Edit: I also always feel weary about having AA in a trilane, for a hero that wants to hit level 11 REALLY FAST, its always a burden.

Like I said, player skill on both ends. That doesn't mean this will only work on bad players, because good players will always find a way. Also, I wasn't guaranteeing anything.

Yea, I just prefer playing visage over the junglers, but chen works for us also. Just thought it would be relevant to mention that strategy seeing as how the subject was AA in a trilane.

Completly agree on the visage part, people just have to accept that you need over 40 games with that hero to get the hang of everything.
However, we really don't feel like AA needs a high level anymore, with chilling touch being so strong in a 5-men dota style, we just headsmash towers, reason we ban kotl and even tinker.

Has there been any mention as to why there are so many heroes you are unable to pick in CM mode and any ETA on when they might become available? Would put current game on top of it´s head getting the current banned heroes in and i can´t wait to see it.

Heroes that were remade recently or are recent additions to DotA in general are automatically disabled in -CM (Centaur, Drow, Silencer). By and large, we have to wait for the next major DotA 1 patch for this to change (though Drow and Silencer aren't disabled in DotA 1).
Some heroes that were released too recently in DotA 2 are also not enabled in -CM for the possibility of potential implementation/parity bugs (even though they are in DotA 1 -CM).

Yeah but weren´t drow changed like ages ago i remember her old ulti yeeears back? And i have memories of centaur being in dota 1 for like ages, but i haven´t kept up exactly so he was changed recently i guess.

Don't think it would put the current game on it's head. Drow/Silencer are out because they got heavy reworks. Most likely months more of balancing to happen before they get unbanned. Slark/Timbersaw won't have much influence. Medusa might but rather situational so prob won't change it too heavy.

Drow changes were less than 6 months ago I think.

I think the buffs were 3-4 months ago? Too lazy to check LP for that
And the nerf was just recently for Drow. Maybe in December iirc, or late November.

Stars are more for notable contributions to TL, at least nowadays they are, over quality posting. By notable contributions I mean things that actually improve or help the site, while he is just helping people get better at a game.
However, if we ever implement blue posters like this http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=251528¤tpage=406#8104 in the Dota 2 strat forums, I am sure TheYango would be the first to receive it
