THANK YOU
We’ve recently taken action against one or more players you’ve previously reported for bad conduct. Thanks for your help in making the Dota 2 community a friendlier place.
Feels nice to get some feedback that reporting the trolls and afkers works.

At the point where you're maxing it second, its strength in teamfights becomes considerable, and you don't really care that it's giving gold. 8 second-long Swarm means the enemy can often wait it out if they engage/disengage properly. 20 second duration means you absolutely HAVE to kill the beetles or get wrecked by the damage/-armor.

Been playing Medusa almost nonstop for the last forty games or so.
It's much easier to appreciate the difference a good support player makes. Feel sorry for the people I play with, though.

BW was sort of the same way, though the tools for visible rating did exist regardless--the sheer number of things you can do better, and that you know when you do better means that you can pretty much always have a sense of your own improvement even without a direct indicator.

@cecek, you're probably reporting people who don't deserve it ... -,-

I've had tons of those messages. Think you maybe need to reevaluate what you are reporting for?

I think it's a bad sign that the first thing I did after reading this was to check the TL Report Queue in shock that there was a post so terrible it generated 60 reports. @.@
A question about DotA: What happened to Morphling? Kinda dropped off after TI2. I know he got nerfed hard but was it to the extent that he has no role in a team comp any more?

Apparently racism and harassment aren't enough because I always report those guys and almost never get the message. And it's not once or twice either, but guys who do it all game. It's just the fact that most people don't really care so they don't get reported enough times for it to have any effect.

Not sure what people are on, but while I was playing League I've never heard anyone shit talk anyone else for being a few ELO lower than them, especially considering you can go +- 100 usually. Maybe outside the game people will say shit like "lol are you like 800 ELO dude?" but then that's still blind unless they know you in game.

he's making a comeback i think edit: morphling i mean

Did you play after LoLKing started becoming commonplace to use? People would actively dodge games where you don't pick one of your top 3 highest winrate heroes.

ESPECIALLY the -armor. Beetles apply -1 armor every time they attack up until the moment they die.
If the enemy team doesn't kill the beetles fast (awkward to do if you time your cast such that they have to deal with the beetles as the real fight is being engaged, and not just as a stalling skill), the -armor stacks very high. The key is you can't WASTE Swarm. You have to use it at a time when they have to choose between dealing with enemy heroes or dealing with the beetles, not just kill them off for free. If they choose to ignore the beetles, they take significant damage and the increasing stacks of -armor. If they focus on the beetles, well they just spent ~4 seconds doing nothing but attacking beetles.

Well, you really can't 1 strength shotgun, cause you can't cast in waveform and you might die to stuns when you try it. Even if linkens carry morph was more common, the versatility, that you could go for the shotgun build was a very big part of why he was picked. He seems like a much more narrow hero now, even if farming with him might be a bit safer now with faster cast time.

Weeks ago I had this message poping like 4 days in a row. They do take care of some idiots.

Did Swarm come after Weaver's ghosts skill (marchers?) was removed, or was there something else before Swarm?

Watchers replaced by Urna Swarm in 6.61 (summoned beetles that can Burrow and suicide for a silence). Urna Swarm given to Nerubian Assassin in 6.67 and replaced by Swarm.
