I think the last time the statistics were compiled from a series of tournaments, the dire/radiant winrates were basically 50-50. So to answer your question, because it's balanced (presumably in other ways)

Feels kinda suboptimal. Is there a general consensus on which hotkeys to use? Standard hotkeys?
I use:
zxc for top row (active items) space for bottom left (usually boots) alt+x, alt+c for bottom and bottom right (wards/tp/inactive items)

Is goblin shredder used in competitive dota? In what way?

I honestly love the slight differences between radiant and dire. Last patch the pulling got completely out of hand and it was time for a change, but over all how things work out lend it being much more interesting a game. Especially as a queue player my hero preferences are affected by many of the subtle side differences. Example of this, axe jungle sucks on dire, pullers prefer dire ( since radiant middle camp was fixed) because of the small camp option, timbersaw mid prefers dire... and the list goes on.

Didn't they make it harder to pull/stack now as well?

basically back to how it was in dota 1. If you were a d1 player and went to pull radiant you noticed how much easier it was for sure.

Nevermore mid prefers radiant due to the easy of stacking and cleaning the easy camp, just to add another example.

That would allow a bit more variety on heroes right?
ban phase was 3 and it was terrible. ban 2 is much much better as it lead to more diverse picks.

I'm seeing just as much permabash and consecutive crits as before. For all I know Valve buffed these heroes without actually looking at the PRD formula used in WC3. Wouldn't surprise me with how many bugs are overlooked to this day. PRD is a slight buff towards perma-bash (non-overlapping bashes aka bash-nobash-bash are more likely), but consecutive crits should be rarer. Rarer doesn't mean that they never happen. I've definitely played against a few bashlord slardars post-patch though . Can't even BKB T_T
i play MoM Daed Furion, i feel that i crit less now then before. I only have a small sample size, but last night i was like "Wtf... why is everything not dying, does bkb block crit.... I dont think so... so wtf." Its not untill i read these posts that i realized why i might be criting less.

I think it's hard to attribute the diverse picks to the banning changes. It arguably has just as much to do with the overall changes to the game in 6.75/6.76 rather than just the change to the banning order.

Wow. Wtf. I thought I was noob enough to avoid this? MMR messed up?
I'm now playing against Dendi, Puppey and others in CM mode.
Someone try to find the game on live games list and see what page it's on?
EDIT: maybe these guys are posers LOL. Yeah they are.

Especially since the most popular heroes in competitive play were nerfed (Naga, Lycan, Morphling, Invoker)

1, 2 for hero/control groups(I don't play chen meepo etc often)
3,4,5,6,G,Space.

IMO, the only thing that your hotkeys really need is space for 2-3 control groups, especially coming from LoL where there is no control groups so you might not feel the need to have them. Even if you don't play Chen/Enchant/Meepo right now, switching your hotkeys around when you do play them is a serious pain. Also, having control groups are useful for some other things (controlling illusions and summons mostly). But mostly go with what fits your hand and comfort.

Hmm. I guess I do it in a different way than everyone else.
I have C as the center on hero/select hero button, and then space as select everything else. Except for Meepo, I find that a quite comfortable setup to deal with any kind of micro for any hero. I guess Beastmaster does require a bit more, but then I'll just bind the Hawk to F3 or so.
Idk, I think my setup is pretty good.
