Jesus christ you need to calm down, also YOU were the one who brought up pipe/mek claiming them to be support-only items:

Also, dagon doesn't solve any mana problems, it gives int but no real mana regeneration.
On December 13 2012 22:17 pallad wrote:On other topic , it was write already by some people on this thread that played him , he is not that good tank , so how pipe helps him ?
Pipe helps by GIVING him more surviveability? His entire design relies on him being in the mid of the fight and his passive solves most armor-related problems, so while his strength and agility gain are far from the best, pipe solves the problem of magic damage while his passive handles most physical damage.

As i said, calm down.
Edit: As already stated, mana boots into blood-stone works wonders for this hero as far as his mana issues goes. In games where you are very limited as far as farm goes i could easily imagine something like euls being a decent item, i never argued against that.
lol , then go buy pipe/mek for carrys gl in games . Oh i end this dissucsion , i love all this "pro player on paper" and in game feeders. Have a nice day
Wow what did I walk into. Anyway, I build Shredder kinda similar to carry Leshrac / Death Prophet / Storm to some extent.
Bloodstone is the best item if you can get it early. Remember, Bloodstone is a snowball item. It helps you win even harder when you are already doing good. Bloodstone will never turn a losing game into a winning one. You need to survive and get kills, which wont happen if you are losing.
Euls + drums , high mobility, high mana reg, decent survivability. Euls is a badass item that has so much potential.
Shiva's good aura, good use, and the armor is nice. There are way more items that gives you hp compared to armor, so don't underrestimate how much armor helps you.
Pipe is an item that every team should have vs almost any other team. If no one builds it on your team then you should probably get it.
Sheepstick, speaks for itself. One of the best items in the game.
Dagon is not a good item on him because you need to build him tanky since he's supposed to be in the middle of the fight, similar to Death Prophet / Leshrac. Your damage comes from being in the fight for a very long time, he's not a burst hero. The longer you stay alive = More sawblades n stuff = More damage.

I usually read some guide of X hero that i have never played before (when i am on the bus etc) but will only decide what items would be in my build after i have played that hero. That said, I'd be interested to listen anyone's build on shredder if he used bstone on his Undy. Anyone?^^

in general he's a very mobile character that needs a larger pool and regen, he does damage through his low cooldowns rather than burst, pick items to complement that and address his weaknesses and you are fine. the reason arcane force armlet is for wodota plays is armlet jukes are easy to do wit him and force staff gives some mana same with arcanes force staff also helps juke more, but it's not an ideal build just a fancy one.

I have mixed feelings. When i saw the video of the hero, i was already having a bad feeling. We'll see how it'll turn out! :D
Man, dota is so hard to get back into after a hiatus. Especially when you were in high/v.high MM. Jumping back in is hard lol. Maybe this is why smurfs are needed.

Lol. Pallad has been around for a bit already. I at least remember him, not sure for what.
By the way, WHERE is shikyo? He still banned for whatever he got banned for? No wait, l just checked, he was just tempbanned for a week. I could use tips for playing Mortred from him. For some reason I really suck with PA. Don´t remember her being that awful. Maybe I was just pampered from playing Luna the games before and after and crushing skulls left and right for the darkmoon clan.

I feel like thinking there is a problem with a character that made it into CM is a bit ignorant. shredders been proven he's fine.

The "performance rating" bars under your personal dota 2 profile sometimes seem to indicate that yes, losses can still give you postive "rating". However, the accepted wisdom is that wins make you go up and losses make you go down, period. Really we don't know enough about Valves system and I think that Valve like it like that. This way, you can't try to game the system.
As a counterpoint to that, however, it also encourages everyone to try to solo mid if they can at all manage it. Because the only real metric in performance is wins and losses and you've got the best chance of solo carrying a game from there. If its not wins and losses and people KNOW its not wins and losses then people are more likely to pick roles they actually enjoy and are decent at (support, hard carry, whatever) rather than picking the role that gives them the most control over their own destiny (solo mid); hence actually working more as a team player.
I know that personally I'm feeling more and more pressure lately to just pick a mid and demand mid every single game until I can brute force my way out of the zone where people can't last hit, don't know what a deny is, never ward, permanently push lanes blindly and constantly fail to buy detection when they're laning against a BH or a Riki or whatever. Not all games are like that, but enough are to make it annoying; especially when I've not checked how many games my teammates have played in advance and pick a hard support.

Such horrible advice~ I'm still getting paired with the people you described yet I play support 80% of the time, just make sure you use appropriate ward spots and are fast to ping, can babysit games 2ez. Example game: https://dotabuff.com/matches/77521217
Look at that goddamn line up. I literally spent the first minute telling my teammate's they were retarded. Now look at that PL farm. Now look at who got the victory.
