You know that CW isn't in captains mode, do you? And i just linked to his recent winrate. It goes 62% CW > 58% Jakiro > 58% Drow > 54% Lich. CW might not be uber godmode anymore and you now can actually win against him, but calling him "not overpowered" is a bit of a stretch... you linked to all of centaur. THIS PATCH he's only 59%.

Oh god, this discussion again...

Ok, sry... Still 5% higher than he should be to be in line but we'll see.
The Magnus comparison was retarded nonetheless.

he's a pub stomper champ, it's fine for him to be at 59% in pubs.

Where the fuck are the other Pubstompers with 59% (aside from Drow)?
How is this an argument...

centaur is pretty hard to lose with.

CW has yet to be enabled for competitive play, so we have yet to see how teams would react to having access to him. You can't just make a statement like "At a pro or near pro level Magnus is considered stronger than Warrunner." when one of the heroes haven't been seen competitively post-remake at all due to not being in CM. Tbh Xin is shit tier in competitive dota. never picked/banned in any international. But xin also isn't in captain's mode, so of course he has yet to see competitive play, so how the hell can you make statements regarding his competitive viablity?

Cent had nearly 70% when he was popular.
Your argument? :p

Well, since the discussion has shifted to some senseless argument about centaur and magnataur, i have to bring this up since nobody responded to this comment.

NO, please don't do this. this is the worst advice ever. you even said you run itemless for a few minutes saving gold for one of those items and that is just plain horrible. BUY something with your starting gold especially with the extra random gold. take some more stats or even a shitty bracer instead of saving your gold for a ring of health that doesn't make any sense, especially if you don't know if you even need it in your lane.
RoH first is one of the worst builds. you only need this much regen if you get harassed REALLY hard and even then some health potion would be better since they heal you up faster and you have more hp/mana on top of it. void stone first doesn't make any sense (get a ring of basilius instead). energy booster makes some sense (if you got the regen to get to the boots without being useless, since the heroes you will go energy first won't have any reg; e.g. earthshaker)
you definately undervalue the early stat items if you do such builds and i strongly suggest you reconsider those choices.

I don't get the "tryhards!1!" mentality.
Yes, there are unbelievably strong heroes and very good team synergies that either don't exist in Captain's Mode or are banned out with a few key heroes. If you don't want to go up against DS/Drow/Centaur, etc. etc. then don't play All Pick! There are three other modes out there specifically for you, and I play them almost exclusively because there is such variety in heroes.
Complaining about "tryhard" lineups when you queue for All Pick is like playing MTG and complaining about some sick combo you didn't think of when building your Legacy/Vintage deck. It's in the format, deal with it. If you want to be able to pick the hero you want every game, others will be able to do so as well.

My comment wasn't meant for pro advice, etc. usually pub play. But yeah you're right, it's mainly to take advantage of the random-pick gold bonus.
And as far as heroes go, I can't think of a better hero than Magnus for pub or competitive play games.
Very good to carry, support, team work with. Can't really go wrong with Magnus as long as you can use Reverse Polarity decently, Empower the right heroes at the right time, and just use nukes everywhere....
Can be good almost any stage of the game, can farm pretty fast, can play support, etc.

CW is definitely Clockwerk, I just call Cent Bradwarden.
Mag's charge would be interesting to nerf, make him less effective as an off lane. Then we'll see how often he gets picked competitively.
